Hi, I have a camera which is mechanically and electrically identical to yours. Mine is an Eumig. Mine works perfectly without any film inserted but the motor won't turn when the film cartridge is loaded. I suspect a very jammed cartridge. Do you know what the problem could be? Thanks

Hi @NoobOnGuitar, Eumig made this Super8 for Bolex. There's been an issue for sometime now with Kodak Super8 cartridges jamming. There's actually a section on the Kodak website to return any defective cartridge. The camera can be tested by lightly but firmly placing a finger on the drive motor inside the film compartment then pressing the shutter button. If the drive motor under the finger turns then the camera is fine. But as always do send the camera to a technician for a new full CLA before filming with it. Thanks for viewing.

@@paulmorbid1476 Thanks for a rapid response! Do you know how hard it should be two turn the "spool" on a working cartridge? Should it be like butter or should it be some friction?

On a working Super8 cartridge there can be a bit of friction to turn it. With the bottom of the Super8 cartridge facing up turn the cartridge drive clock-wise with a pair of pliers. In doing so the film can be viewed moving on the exposed area. You're very welcome.

Hello what is the difference between the + and the dot options? Are these different frame rates? Thanks!
