Just a helpful tip, I have the same carrier and made a simple square stand out of wood that's at the correct height so I can put my kickstand down and lean the bike on it. This frees up both my hands so I can easily get the two handlebar straps on next.

Thanks for the video. It would be easier if you left the first strap (front left) longer so the bike leans towards the car while you hook the second front wheel strap without having to pull on the bike to keep it from falling back to the floor.

Yep! Someone commented that they built a stool of sorts to put the kick stand down on. That’s a brilliant idea. I’ve been meaning to build one but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Do you have issues with people not able to see your tail lights and plate?

I was worried about that but I drove with it from North Carolina to Vermont and back and all around North Carolina without issue. There were cops behind me at multiple times too. I though they were gonna pull me over but they left me alone.

it's TECHNICALLY illegal to obscure the plate like that, but pretty much no reasonable cop is going to hassle you about it unless you're already doing something else like speeding or just driving like an asshole.

So what I’m getting from this video is that for me, as a 5’4” woman, I’m probably not going to be able to load and offload a Vespa by myself. 🤔😒

I think you can if you use the tip another commenter mentioned about building a stool of sorts at the right height to rest the kickstand on. That way it balances itself while you get the straps on.

@@wanderingturtleadventures8619 I’m also worried about being able to have enough leverage to push it past the initial wheel well into the right position. That seems tough. I’ll probably suck it up and spend the money on an ace trailer.
