Phil, here's yet another vote for a ball dimension video! Without having access to a CAD program, if possible.

I definitely want to know the ball dimension scheme and any other dimensioning practices you want to share.

I’d like to see how you do the ball dimensions without AutoCAD. Very interesting.

Phil, Thanks for the lesson. I would like to see info on ball dimensions. I am having trouble following your math. Best I can tell, you drew a 60 degree angle, added the ball, then let the computer complete the triangle so that the 1.4810 parameter is met. Then you addd the hex to your drawing and let the computer calculate the 1.9566 from the center of the hex to the longer leg of the triangle. Pythagoras and all the trig are hidden in the black box of the computer. Is that right? Thanks.

I like to use a roller instead of the 30 degrees plate. Place it in the vee where the magnet is and indicate it's center.
