I own a 48 GMC Truck 1.5 ton .. For some reason the pass door does not open ..I went from the inside to try to open it and it will not budge thinking the lock on the outside must be locked .. unfortunately I have no key for it either... ... What's the best approach to get the locking mechanism off to unlock the door?

Im not totally sure, cant you reach the lock rod, if there is one?

Im sure this one .... but like your door .. not much space to get inside it ... maybe pull the latching mech from the door might do the trick but not sue @@skipprice6843

Pretty tight just like your door ... may need a locksmith to make a key for that side ... or try to pick the lock myself @@skipprice6843

tight fit as you know ... with door closed is even tighter being on the inside of the cab ... but plan on giving it try if weather is good tomorrow and get past all the rat crap ... LOL @@skipprice6843

Skip, I have a 1948 chevy 3100 that has the original latches and pull down handles. I want to make them the bear claw style latches but also with the push button handles. Do you know what hardware I would need to do this? Any particular brand or websites to help me with this project? Where to start?

So skip, I would need a push button handles and handle.braces? What bear claws did you use? Do I need any certain internal parts other than these. Also what striker player did you use? Thanks skip, sorry so many questions I am new to this. Thanks

My Altman latch for my 53 looks different….?? There are differences in the 47-51 and the 51-54 which is this?

These are not altmans, just bearclaw latches with original linkage,
