I don't think its possible to look stylish in extreme weather conditions, especially if you do not have a car. I mean, thermal underwear can only keep you warm thus far. I couldn't wear a coat without a warm cardigan. Urghh

I am in Canada and tbh it's from -10 upto -25 and honestly all I could do is having different clothes sizes for layering up. The fact that I also take transit everywhere and not even in the city makes it harder. My tips are having various clothing sizes, and try to find all the timeless or classic pieces that you could wear with most things for the weather. For example, going with all black or white snow pants and coat can make you look fabulous while staying warm.

Great tips. I feel like this is the first year I've made layers work for me and I feel stylish rather than bulky! I bought a basic black marled sweatshirt from H&M and I wear it under really pretty shirt dresses that I otherwise couldn't wear in winter cos they're quite thin and summery. But I love that they can transition to winter! Xx

Thank you for all these advices… It’s getting so cold in Europe but I can’t bring myself to wear my oversized knit jumpers and huge scarves yet and I love them but I’m still in the mood for dresses and skirts so now I will try layering with thermals under my dresses like you do to keep myself from catching another cold 😊

Great tip with the thermals - particularly about not having to wash as often and wearing them under silk dresses! I live in a fairly warm climate nine to ten months out of the year, but for those few weeks where it is really cold, I do like to stay warm. Thermals just went on my shopping list! XOXO, Misty Ann

I am all about putting thermals under my clothes. Only problem that they always peek out off my neckline although i have v-necks. I dont like jumpers with high necks. I just made a thick detachable lining in my pink suede coat that now I can wear it all year!! I showed it in my last video about my fall/ winter coat collection.! And overknee boots I have in all colors. LOVE them😍 !!

Great video!! I have a hack that might sound weird, but it really works. If it’s very cold out you can use a regular bottle and fill it with boiled hot water. I work as a flight attendant in Scandinavia and some of our destinations are quite extreme. So on those days i usually have a hot bottle in both my coat pockets and they really do add warmth and keep my hands warm😅

Have you tried those hand and foot warmers that skiers wear? I found they worked pretty well and not quite so bulky. The bottles are a great idea though and certainly less expensive - just thinking that knowing myself and how clutzy I am, the bottle would likely leak and then I'd be cold and wet LOL.

Layering is an absolute godsend when it gets really cold in my neck of the woods (Southern Finland). Wool tights and leggings are an absolute must for the really cold days, and my secret weapon is a pair of thin, knitted wool shorts, which slip under skirts and dresses without any trouble at all.

Josie you are just adorable, and these tips are spot on! Ha ha I lived in Hawai`i and was up in the mountains and walking very early in the morning my ears would ache. I bought these funny "ear pops" which fit over your ears but of course looked hilarious and didn't stay on very well. I like the head wrap, now living in N. California that would be perfect for "nipping out" and not flatten my hair.

I love Marks&Spencer thermals, they are so soft and cozy, I just picked a pair today as well as their tights, they are amazing for cold weather because they have double layering and are completely opaque! How do you keep your over-the-knee boots from sliding down while walking? I always have issues with that!
