We love you guys man. I’m originally from Ohio but been down in southern New Mexico for over a decade now. Hopefully anyone that reads this will look up the Gila National Forest in southern New Mexico. It’s a riders dream. Could be a little larger but it’s incredibly amazing. Josh drove on I-10 and was only 45 minutes from me when he drove through Lordsburg. You never know when riding thru a waste land that your just a few minutes from paradise. Look it up y’all it’s worth it. Be safe out there.

I felt sorry for you, I still LOL watching you work to get that tire off, but I felt sorry for you. You have a lot of people around you that can fabricate up a way for that lift to work using a normal bottle jack and when you do go to Home Depot and get a "Husky" bottle jack I had one in the RV they are good jacks. What happened to blaming Blockhead he is a puto?!

Those Shinko's are harder to mount and dismount by hand because they are tubeless. I learned that from experience that tube type tires are much easier. I went from Shinko 244's to Shinko 705's and the 705's where way more difficult to mount and dismount by hand. The 804 and 805 are the same because the sidewall is much stiffer since they can be run on tubeless rims.

Shadetree, I want to thank you for the tire changing section of the video. I laughed my ass off! I personally, have experience breaking down semi tires. (Way easier than motorcycles believe it or not.) And i always got stuck helping my dad break down the tires on his motorcycles. I finally got so sick of it I told my father I'd pay for it to be professionally done rather than help him. After seeing how fast it is on a machine and how cost effective it is he started making the run the mechanics to get his tires mounted and balanced from there on out.

OMG, I love you man. That maniacal laugh after leaving the postman really got me and Misses Barnsworth going. I've changed about 8 dirt bike tires and 2 RF900R tires with spoons. The first one by far was the hardest in the Alabama heat. It's a right of passage. You made good progress on the first side. I was a little disappointed at first. The time lapse was glorious though. You should probably put a new carb kit in there for Dr. Gf. Preventative maintenance pays at least double in relationships.

You could take dimensions of the base of the jack and make a plate with a tab that would mount to the pin mount. Then you could just mount any bottle jack to the base.
@Dirty_Side_Down Жыл бұрын
Colorado carb. I looked it up. If the bike is tuned for high altitudes, it will result in an over lean mixture at sea level because at high altitudes it needed more air to achieve the correct oxygen levels. Which means, you might not have as much combustion at sea level because it’s lacking fuel. Also, it might be burning hot with high EGTs at sea level.
@DennysPlantBasedJourney Жыл бұрын
dude, a lot of people replace the jack with an air jack and and then you don't have to pump it up with your feet anymore. There are a ton of videos on YT that show you haw to modify it and make it an air lift. Check it out.

I'm late to this party but might have a piece of useful info for ya regarding the lift jack. I had a similar failure on my old Kendon lift recently. I saw a video on youtube about using AT-205 Re-Seal fluid in it to swell the seals and o-rings back to shape. I ordered a $19 bottle of it and added about 1.5oz of the stuff and topped off the jack with hydraulic fluid. The leak began to slow each day for the next 4-5 days until it finally sealed completely off and worked normally again! I also have the new Harbor Freight lift and am now dreading issues with it. Maybe someone will eventually step up and offer a good alternative jack for them. For now, try out the AT-205 Reseal.

Glad you learnt how to get a tire off a rim with irons. Next time just go to the tire shop cause you don't need a centre to get it off the rim cause the tire machine fixes to the rim on 3 points. and then the gizmo pulls the tire off as the rim spins around on the machine. oh yeah Josh..when changing a tire with irons..I use a rubber hammer to hit the iron around the rim..they look like little sledge hammers short handle and really hard rubber..a must for any tool shed 1001 one uses..
