Hi Trish! Thank you for your comment! If you have an infinity loom or a very long loom, I would recommend you to use a number of pegs multiple of 4 + 2 (for example: 82). Then you can follow the same pattern directions given in this video.

@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria! Thank you :) Yes, you could follow the same steps minus the endings. Actually, if you choose a round loom with a number of pegs multiple of 4 + 1 (the 41-peg loom, for example), you just repeat "2 knits - 2 purls" over and over again and you get a result in spiral/diagonal. You can see what I mean here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKutl619i9-eh8U

I've been working on mine for months now (using Lion Brand's Homespun bulky 386 grape that's 98% acrylic and 2% polyester) and I am nearly finished, just 2 & 1/4 inches to go. From the beginning, keeping in mind one of your slipper videos and the hat brim fold over technique, I have been wanting to finish by folding over the cast on row under and over onto the original pegs (keeping the outside part inside the fold) and then either binding off the beginning and ending loops together OR knitting the rows together and then binding off (instead of binding off and whip stitching as you demonstrate in this video). Which would work better for an exterior seamless look? Thank you.

Love this but quick question re Row 4 pattern.... text states w&k 2, p 1 but the video w&k 2, p2. Is the latter correct? Thk u so much!
@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi Amber! Thank you for your question, I understand the confusion! At minute 6:54 we start Row 4 and we work like this: "skip the first peg, purl 1, wrap&knit 2, purl 2, wrap & knit 2, purl 2 ... and wrap & knit 2, purl 1, knit the last peg", right? We can also sum up that as: "skip 1, (purl1, w&k2, purl 1), k1". Both are the same, if you work repetitions of "p1, w&k2, p1" you get "p1, w&k2, p1, p1, w&k2, p1, p1, ... w&k2, p1"

I have a problem with this pattern because I started with more than 18 pegs ,should I double the pegs or there is a way to do it with 24 pegs as example?
@ЕвгенийГаевский-ф7д5 жыл бұрын
In this case, it is most likely necessary according to the formula: 2pegs + 4pegs * X (2pegs = 1peg skip + 1peg knit; 4pegs in pattern; X - number of repetitions).... Therefore 24pegs breaks the pattern, you should use either 22 pegs or 26 pegs

I am fairly new to loom knitting (less than a year) and really like the scarf shown. I would like to make one but before starting I noted what I think is an error. The pattern shown at around 11 minutes does not match what I am seeing the video. I refer specifically to row 2 and 4. Can you explain? I read your response to Amber Rose's question (like mine) but I am still confused.
@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi! The pattern shown at minute 11:11 is just a summary that I thought it could be helpful, but if it confusing, forget about it, ok? When it says "Row 2: Skip 1, (W&K1, P2, W&K1), K1" it means you skip 1 and then you work repeating the sequence inside between "(" and ")". Then if you write it down you will see it means: skip 1, W&Knit, Purl, Purl, W&Knit, W&Knit, Purl, Purl, W&Knit, W&Knit, Purl, Purl, W&Knit,... Knit. If you now check minute 4:02, you will see the explanation for Row 2 matches this. Hope this helps! (but if it still confusing, just follow the video directions and forget about the pattern summary)

Can you do this design with 2 yarns instead of 1
@JustWriter5 жыл бұрын
I'm no expert, but it's probably possible to do the knits in a dominant color and tie a half knot to attach the other color and do that one in purls. It's an involved enough pattern that you likely won't have to tie it back in on every stitch change though. I recommend watching tutéate loom knitting videos with multiple threads to see how they handle the multiple threads.
@JustWriter5 жыл бұрын
Here's one tutéate video project with 2 threads: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6S7mJSIdtiagrM
From what I get the first time through the four rows in the video row 2 is: skip1 knit1(p2 k2)k1, then second review in video says skip 1(k1 p2 k1)k1. Am I seeing that correctly? Which one do I follow? I've watched several times, maybe I'm not following correctly but that's what I take away.
@eliottenney49976 жыл бұрын
Just watched again, I see the full written review of all rows at minute 11. Is that the correct pattern for all four rows? I agree with another poster, the beginning of the video has rows 2&4 different than at minute 11.
@eliottenney49976 жыл бұрын
I should add, I really appreciate your videos, I learn so much from them
@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sandra! I understand the confusion, I hope I can clarify it (if the summary white page is confusing to you, please ignore it, it tries to say the same in other words). On every row we skip the first peg and knit the last peg, so let's forget about these 2 pegs and talk about the 16 other ones. On Row 2 (minute 4:02 ) we: wrap&knit 1, purl 2, wrap & knit 2, purl 2, wrap&knit 2,... and (on the last 3 pegs of these 16 pegs) purl 2 and wrap&knit 1. We could summarize that as repeating (w&k1, p2, w&k1) on these 16 pegs. Because if you work repeating (w&k1, p2, w&k1) on these 16 pegs you: w&k1, p2, w&k1, w&k1, p2, w&k1, w&k1, p2, w&k1, w&k1, p2, w&k1. Hope this helps... Please let me know how it goes!

I need help! How do I know which row I left off? I was doing so well, I had knitted about 10inches long perfectly but I had to answer my phone and for some reason I can't remember which row I was doing? Normally when I have to take break I will knit all 4 rows completely that way it's easy for me to remember. Unfortunately when I tried to guess it wasn't diagonal pattern, so I had to undo the last part where I stopped. Pls help.
@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi Zee! I understand. I share here with you a tip that I included in my written pattern (the written pattern is available here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/diagonal-infinity-scarf-2 ): The pattern sequence of every row starts with the opposite stitch you ended the previous row. This means Row 2 starts with "EWK", while the last stitch worked there at Row 1 was "P". Row 3 starts with "P", while the last stitch worked there at Row 2 was "EWK". Row 4 starts with "P", while the last stitch worked there at Row 3 was "EWK". So you don't need to count rows to know where you are, you just need to check the last stitch you worked at the previous row and you will know how to begin the next row.

Hi Nina! This pattern needs a number of pegs multiple of 4 + 2. I used 18 pegs from a 36-peg XL gauge round loom. You will need to add multiples of 4 pegs to that number. I recommend you to make a swatch before starting the project, so you can adjust the number of pegs and rounds you will need to get the same width and length. Here you will find the "Gauge" of my pattern and other info that might help you out: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/diagonal-infinity-scarf-2
