I bought the pdf thinking it would give me a better explanation of the sewing part of the project but it wasn’t there. I’m not clear on how many stitches to count to start sewing the top up. And I also don’t understand how to start pulling on those loose loops. Thanks for your help. This so far has been fun to make.

@stephaniehaberer54034 жыл бұрын
how did you make a different size? Like this one was 20 pegs and 4 pegs of increase and decrease....to make bigger how many pegs did you add and then how many rows of increase/decrease? I made this hate and love it so much but am so confused on if the number of pegs or the number of increasing and decreasing rows make the hat taller and which makes it rounder for the circumfrence if that makes any sense...please help!!!

@@stephaniehaberer5403 Hi, still trying to find out if you got the response as to how to make it bigger or smaller? I've thought my wool is too thick or the number of pegs too much...if I look at the "indications on how may pegs for a ladies or men's size hat, it looks like they will fit my waist or hips!!!

Ugh got all the way to the pulling the loops part. I am not good at that. There’s also a hole at the rope when I was sewing the hat together. I hope the old version is available. I’ve made the other version just fine.

Love this new way from the last one. But can you do similar to the old one. Like knit the parts together on the look itself instead of doing it by hand?

I love this!! This hat pattern is everything I've ever wanted in a loom knitted hat. Do you happen to know what the pattern would be for an extra large head?
@parkiescreation774 жыл бұрын
I’ve found out if U have a 41 peg loom it’s for someone with an extra large head. And the 36 peg loom is like an everybody hat from 4yrs going up. U can try it if u haven’t found out which one to use as yet

@@parkiescreation77for this pattern the loom size doesn’t matter. I’m thinking to make it wider if need to increase the sections.

@Tuteate5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dorothy! You can work this project starting to the opposite side, in counterclockwise direction. So you can purl from left to right. It doesn't matter :) Here I explain how to make this same hat in L size and S size: www.etsy.com/listing/692678625/

@@Tuteate so I'd need to purchase pattern to learn how to make it a larger size?
@vegangelist4 жыл бұрын
Does this version have a smaller circumference than the original? Since you work four decrease rows and four increase rows per "triangle wedge" that is eight rows of "width" whereas the ten decrease rows (in the original) gave ten rows of width. Since both versions have four triangle wedges, that seems to mean that the newer version will be significantly narower/smaller since fewer rows are worked. I've only watched the videos (haven't worked up the hat yet) but am trying to get the bigger picture so that I can resize as needed. I understand that you worked the smaller number of decreases/increases in one triangle to create triangles only at the top of the hat, and closer to the top vs having the larger wedges with the decreases coming further down the head (for shaping). And I understand that casting on will give me a taller hat (I'm considering that for my husband) but I'm just trying to get a handle on what seems like must be a difference in circumference: 32 increase/decrease rows for width vs 40 (I'm not including the base rows for each triangle; I understand that the number of actual rows is greater than just the deceased and increases). Now maybe you threw in an extra row or two before the decreases/increases in the newer version?? That's possible - that I just wasn't keeping track - since I just watched it (on its own) rather than watching while doing. But I would like to get an idea of the sizing before I try to resize it.

Hi Nina! This is a medium size hat: 20 cm x 22 cm approx. (7.87 in x 8.66 in). It is very elastic so it can fit children, teenagers and "small-head adults". Here you can find the directions on how to make a bigger size and how to make a smaller size (for babies): www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/loom-knitted-cloche-hat-improved
