@@WambuiMadeIt Thanks! I used a fine thread one, and I want to get the chunkier kind because it took forevvver doing the thinner thread because there were so many pegs. I also want to use a thread guider, like a straw to make it go faster, which I couldn't do with the loom I have. So I guess I'm addicted now and will be spending lots of money on this hobby lol.

Love your videos and your teaching style ! You're so bright and perky that you make learning these new things fun :) . I'm just wondering though , is this possibly called the Rib stitch ?Hurdle stitch too ?
@WambuiMadeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hi ShoShanah! I love your name. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your lovely comment. Yes, the rib and cable stitch are the same. I fact, the stitch is often referred to as cable Ribbing. In my option, the hurdle stitch is different. From a distance, it can look like a cable or rib stitch but I would not call the hurdle a cable ribbing stitch. Others may have a different opinion. All the best to you! 🌻🧶🌻🧶
@kathylobonc93103 жыл бұрын
The rib stitch is what is being shown in this video. It only becomes cable when they intersect. Hurdle stitch is two rows of EWrapK nit stitches followed by two rows of K1-P1 but double check to be sure. The rib stitch can be in multiples as Wambui was explaining of different numbers of alternating knit and Purl stitches. I apologize Wambui for answering but wanted to politely let you know that the stitch you are demonstrating is not actually the cable stitch. I adore you so please don’t let this upset you. We are all here to learn and share our knowledge.

Hi instead of e wraps could you use u wrap? Or would that just turn into a garter stitch?
@ΧριστίναΜαγουλα-β1ξ3 жыл бұрын
Ηι Wambui. I think this would be nice for a blanket /afghan. I made a blanket during quarantine but I want to take it apart and make another one..not happy with it. So I'm thinking of doing this instead of garter stitch that its know. How many purls and how many e wrap would you suggest so that it turns out nice and poofy and stands out? I'm thinking 3 and 3 but maybe 4?🤔 your opinion is always welcome from such a sweet person. Thank you. 😎🇬🇷 P.s. was looking into the fisherman's rib stitch but didn't find one explaining well and the rib stitch is almost identical it seems .
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Greetings! Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate the lovely comment. I agree with you that this cable type pattern could make an awesome looking afghan. I recently uploaded a video that will walk you through how to easily figure out how many pegs to wrap and rows to loom knit to get the size that you want. It will depend on the gauge of your loom and the weight of the yarn and the type of stitches you want to use. In this video I show you a formula. First, with the yarn and the loom you want to use, make a small swatch using the exact stitches you wan to use . . . Here is the video: How To Figure Out How Many Pegs You Need To Wrap - and How Many Rows You Need To Knit kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6HYXmZpl7Wnd9E I am hopeful that this will be helpful. In the meantime, stay fabulous!!🌻🌻🧶
