Sad to see it scrapped when it was a sound runner.. Your standards are sometimes too high Rob, not every owner worries about a few scrapes here and there if the price is right. There's probably many people who viewed this video today from the 52K that would have bought it from you at no loss. So be it. Good content none the less.

Focus in the scrap yard is Aquarius Blue, yours Vision Blue. It's also a pre facelift at the scrap yard. Different creases in the door too. Edit: you made the right choice in scrapping that car, hopefully your next seizure vehicle is a better one, if there will be a next one.

How that car has been treated is uncalled for. It’s a shame to scrap it, these focuses are great cars, it deserved to be sold cheap to someone who will put in the work and put back on the road, didn’t need a huge lot to do.

Well you know when you think to yourself "I haven't seen a ______ for years I wonder what happened to them, there used to be 1000s of them on the road." Well now you all know where they go. I have restored enough cars to know that Focus would have got pretty pricey unless you had a parts car and at the end of the day it's still a 12ish year old economy car. You either do it as a labor of love or you cut your loses. I get it, I hate seeing perfectly good cars (although beat up a bit) meet their fate at the junkyard but there just isn't any money to be made. Off note, here in the states diesel vehicles are pretty rare I got diesel envy for the amount of oil burners you all have in the UK.

@@el_micha Neh mate if same code it's the same paint... Say they make a paint with code LLD5W for example for 15 years no matter what the car is will be the same. Am telling you this because I had the same problem thought the same, spoken to my mates dad that's been a body repair guy for like 30 years. He explained the code means it's the same paint. The paint can look in good condition but if not buffed up can look different. The colour is the colour if you out that paint code in a computer to mix and make the paint you will get the same colour. Each pigment entry has two identifying codes - the Colour Index Constitution Number, and the Colour Index Generic Name Code. For example, Ultramarine Blue is categorised under CI 77007 (the Colour Index Constitution Number) and PB 29 (the Colour Index Generic Name Code)

Hey- if you're gonna lose on one, at least make it a cheapie- which it was... You've had some good tickles lately- I wouldn't lose sleep over it ! Always burns me to see a Focus scrapped however... I love them ! :)

at the end of the day, you're in the business of making money. there are times you've got to judge whether or not car is worth repairing/saving. you decided it wasnt, and to cut your losses. it happens "you cant win them all", Its a shame that it couldn't be saved as the mk2 focus is a cracking family hatchback (I have a SUPER rare mk2 Pre Face Lift Focus, owned for 13 years.)

Wrong model of focus that rear door was from, swage lines are all different as are front wings. mk2 has lots of small differences over the mk 2.5 for future reference.
