This was such a great discussion about the flesh, with really helpful advice about how we can conquer its power in our lives. And perfectly fitting to Galatians 5:16-18 and Romans 8:5-14. You emphasized the importance of the mind, and it's interesting how that passage in Romans talks about that too. Paul is saying that what we set our mind on has the power to bring us life and peace or death and hostility to God. The command to "set" your mind means that it's a choice that takes effort and discipline and self-control. But the more we become accustomed to the Lord's presence and walking by the Spirit, it gets easier and easier. I remember when I got to the point where I would start to feel "off" if my mind (or conversations or entertainment choices, etc) wasn't thinking in His direction (Col 3:2 and Phil 4:8). Being consumed by Him is a wonderful place to be!
