So the property tax code incentives disinvestment and blight while disincentives improvement.

pro tip: frame in floating walls before the assessor arrives to cut your interior footage in half, and furnish the place with free sidewalk furniture. your efforts will pay off year after year!

Since the United States declared independence and sovereignty in 1776, they had to go to war and when won, claimed all ownership of land in the states. But if we do it, were singled out and targeted. The only way to stop this os by protesting and worse case scenario, organzie a civil war. Unfortunately, once we are born, we are assigned a ss# as proof of entering and belonging to the government system, set forth by the forfathers. We never own land, we just own the right to the land and must pay rent to the government for using the land we purchased the rights to. Taxation should have an open ledger available to the public that is immutable. Showing where each of our rent (property taxes) is being spent on. Until then, it is THEFT and transactions exchange hands and pockets behind the political curtain.

….somehow it sounds property valuation is very subjective, if so, then it’s a big systematic defeat …

Interesting. My mother inherited a few properties when my father passed away. Lucky there were no mortgages but the property taxes get higher and higher affecting her income.

This is why Constitutions must recognize that land is a fundamental & inalienable right & naturally entitled to people.... People should not have to buy.... Generations after generations will then be trained on how to plant... Harvest.... Process trees, bamboo.... into roofs, walls, floors, tables, chairs, beds, etc. passing on the knowledge to the next.
