I watched this vid yesterday at 2am and boom I had my first LD. I was trying for months and now it finally worked! I think that the part of the false awakening really helped me. I did MILD with WBTB. I fell asleep only to realise that I woke up. I did a reality check to see if it was a false awakening. It was. I realized that I only could walk slowly and with little gravity. I wanted to fly, but I decided to go to school. Spawned there, but then the dream was turning into a regular dream. I'm so fricking happy that I finally did it after months of trying. For all you people out there who think they can't lucid dream. You can! It's just a matter of when your first LD will come. Some lucky bastards get it the first night others might wait months like I did. Never give up and keep believing in yourself. You can do it!💪

For those who want to delve into lucid dreaming, I have a warning for you. If you get good enough at it, your dreams will become mundane and boring. They may even become repetitive in the same dream, going over the same thing. I stumbled upon the concept ages ago, and practiced it, only to find that my conscious mind, my rational side, interferes with my dreams. Though I've tried to stop, I can't seem to unlearn what I've learned, and my dream life is no longer as creative as it once was before. The subconscious is vastly more creative than the conscious. Don't interfere with it at the risk of permanently ruining the fun of unchecked creativity the subconscious mind has. It's like taming a beautiful animal, only to realise that it was the wild animal you truly loved, simply because it was unpredictable. I realise this is only my experience, but I wanted to share it as a caution to others of what may happen.

Summary of the Technique: Preparation: Go to bed early, set an alarm to wake up during REM sleep (4-5 hours after falling asleep), and then stay awake for 5-10 minutes before going back to bed in a (potentially) different sleeping position to signal your intent to lucid dream. The Cycles: Perform a series of sensory focus cycles upon returning to bed, concentrating in turn on sight (the darkness behind closed eyelids), hearing (any internal or external sounds), and touch (physical sensations). Repeat these cycles, initially quickly for five times and then more slowly and deliberately for four more times. Falling Asleep: After completing the cycles, allow yourself to fall asleep as quickly as possible, aiming to enter a lucid dream state. Outcomes and How to Deal with Them: False awakenings: Perform a reality check every time you "wake up" to ensure you're not still dreaming. Waking up for real: If you find yourself awake, immediately relax and try a few more cycles before attempting to sleep again. Successful lucid dream entry: You might become lucid spontaneously due to heightened awareness from the cycles or transition directly from wakefulness to a dream. Mistakes to Avoid: Wrong timing: Attempting the technique without waking up during the night or too early in the sleep cycle. Rushing through cycles: Not engaging fully with each sensory focus, which is crucial for preparing your mind for lucid dreaming. Advice for Success: Patience and Consistency: Like any skill, lucid dreaming takes practice. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work immediately. Journaling: Keep a dream journal to increase dream recall, an essential aspect of becoming lucid. Reality Checks: Integrate reality checks into your daily routine to improve your ability to recognize dreams.

I think it's because I really thought about it much today and was really invested into the topic. I also did a lot of reality checks over the last few days. The dream wasn't really vivid and clear, it was very very blurred and I didn't have exact control over what I wanted to see/do. However, I still realized several false awakenings and managed to stay in my dream for a minute or so to make cool experiences. I think this video still helped me, even if I "failed" first. Thanks!

to sum it up for anyone: you need an anchor (something to think of) think of something in you room, for example the warmth of your blanket the hum of your fan if you have one sock on you can think of the heat of your foot etc. you can also use a mantra (a saying of motivation) like "I will lucid dream" etc. lightly think of your anchor so you can fall asleep while still having awareness and consciousness. so when you fall asleep consciously you will enter directly into a dream with awareness. [if that makes sense] to lucid dream you need to be in R.E.M sleep. to get to R.E.M sleep you ether have to set an alarm 4-6 hours into your sleep or you can drink a crap ton of water so you naturally wake up then while still dazed think of your anchor and bam! it should work PS. I have lucid dreamt before so you can trust PPS. this may only work for some people everyone is different. hope this helps😁

When I was a teen, I got really into lucid dreaming; because I had a major problem with falling dreams that were causing me so much anxiety that it was affecting my waking hours as well, and it happened almost every night. I got to the point that I would automatically realize I was dreaming, if I started to have a falling sensation (I never had a major fall like in the dream while awake, or that could have been confusing.), and I could just stop it in some way. Once I realized this goal, i stopped working on it, but twenty plus years later, I still automatically can stop a falling dream. As an adult, I suffer from severe nightmares that are related to PTSD, and they are bad enough that they have caused dissociative episodes when I wake up. I started taking a medication called Prazosin that kept me from having the nightmares, but I developed health issues that made me stop taking it. The dreams have begun to get out of hand, and I thought back on lucid dreaming and how it helped before and decided to give it a shot again. I have been following your videos and have learned a lot. I've been keeping a dream journal for the last few days, even when I had nightmares that I didn't want to remember. Last night, I had my first breakthrough. I had a nightmare, but the three really bad parts in the dream, instead of making me feel traumatized and heartbroken, just made me mad; because even in the dream, my thought was, "That was just deliberate bullshit meant to upset me.". It really robbed the nightmare of its pain. I am hoping that this is a breakthrough for the whole process. Thank you for the help!

@@parisestebanvegalaborin6200 I've been able to get myself to stop my connection to nightmares. At the point at which I would normally start to reach a traumatic level and wake up in filled with anxiety or panic or even to the point where I'm disassociated, I have now been having a reaction more where I can hear myself say, "You're doing this on purpose, just to upset me. **** this.", and I wake up, without the panic. This is a huge personal success. As far as actually reaching lucid dreaming, I was doing quite well and then had a setback. I have been using a symbol on my wrist that I check throughout the day as my reality check. I started to have a nightmare that I've been having for about ten years now, and I stopped myself in my dream and said to myself, "Nah, this seems too familiar. This is that dream, isn't it?" I then looked at my wrist... and that symbol was right there. And then I was like, well dang... I guess, it isn't that nightmare... it's real. Then I fell much further into buying the dream. I haven't been able to come back from that yet.

WTF BRO?! I tried literally dozens of techniques, but in the FIRST night I tried the technique of your video I had the first lucid dream in years. I was in some kind of shopping, I went to the bathroom and out of nowhere I wanted to do a reality check. I put my fingers up to cover my breath, but for some reason I couldn't breathe, which led me to believe that I wasn't dreaming. But just to be sure I raised my hand to look at it and saw that I had seven fingers. My fright was so great that I forced myself to wake up, fighting against the sleep paralysis. I repented of the irrational fear I had and did all the steps again after waking up and AGAIN I had another lucid dream, this time longer. I was at home, and when I looked at my hand again I became lucid. Before waking up I flew through my house, and then through the city. I don't know exactly what's different about this technique, but it worked for me. Thank you.

Now, my first lucid dream was short because I forgot one and one REALLY important step…don’t get too excited. I have lucid dreams all the time. Most if not all of mine are lucid. However, I have been wondering why I don’t have more control. I will absolutely try this method out. I also wanted to share a story of a lucid dream I had. I was in a dark hallway straight out of a horror movie. (The horror movie doesn’t actually exist but imagine the hallway from The Shining, a light surrounds you (like in the typical horror video game), no other light is visible, and it is the hallway with that blood pouring out of the elevator but it is the aftermath of it.) Now that you know what I was looking at, now imagine my absolute surprise when I woke up. I had my eyes wide open for a moment irl and was fully awake but still dreaming. While I had my eyes open, spikes like massive shards of glass or ice came from all directions. After my eyes got too heavy to keep open, I closed them and shortly after that, woke up again and stopped dreaming. It was by far the most bizarre experience I had experienced in a dream.

Step-by-Step Technique: Prepare for the Night: Go to bed early, ideally before 11 PM, and set an alarm for 4-5 hours after falling asleep. This targets the REM sleep phase. Wake and Reset: Upon waking, stay up for 5-10 minutes to engage your mind. Walk, stretch, or use the bathroom. Lie down in a new sleeping position to avoid falling asleep too quickly. Perform Sensory Cycles: Focus on three senses in cycles: Sight: Observe the darkness behind closed eyes. Hearing: Tune into internal or external sounds. Touch: Feel physical sensations like tingling or your heartbeat. Repeat this sequence five times to prepare your mind for lucid dreaming. Deepen the Cycles: Perform the sensory cycles again, spending more time on each sense (30 seconds each). Stay calm and allow thoughts to flow naturally. Fall Asleep: Lie in your most comfortable position and try to fall asleep quickly while maintaining a relaxed mindset. Outcomes: False Awakenings: Common with this method. Perform a reality check (e.g., count fingers) every time you "wake up" to confirm if you’re dreaming. Interrupted Sleep: If genuinely awake, repeat shorter sensory cycles (20 seconds each) to re-enter the dream state. Lucid Dreaming Success: Heightened awareness from the technique increases the likelihood of recognizing dream irregularities or directly transitioning into a lucid state. Hypnagogic sensations (e.g., falling, noises) often occur as a precursor. Common Mistakes: Attempting the technique during the wrong sleep phase (e.g., before REM sleep starts). Rushing through the cycles, reducing their effectiveness. Expecting extraordinary hypnagogic sensations and becoming discouraged if they don’t occur. Focusing too much on hypnagogia, which can distract from the dream state. Combining this method with other techniques prematurely. Additional Tips: Maintain a dream journal to enhance dream recall and improve future lucid dreaming success. Follow the method precisely as described to maximize results, especially for beginners. Avoid excessive screen time before bed to protect sleep quality.

I used to lucid dream naturally all the time when I was a kid. I sort of discovered how to do it since about 7 or 8 years old. One of my first and most memorable ones - and I remember it clearly, as if it was a real event (one of the advantages of lucid dreaming. They form memories unlike normal dreams that usually fade away). I was in front of my house, playing with a kid from across the street when I realised I was dreaming. I said to the kid "Hey, this is a dream!". He said "No it isn't" and a typical argument that often takes place between a couple of kids ensued. I was really frustrated that he couldn't see that it was a dream. I think about that dream a lot. It happened nearly 60 years ago. The modern day paradigm that we may be living in some kind of simulated reality really interests me. Dreams are a type of simulated reality where some really crazy stuff happens, yet we just accept it (lucid dreamers notice some of these odd things and that usually triggers a lucid dream). The funny thing is that if a person had reason to believe that the world and universe was a simulated environment and if he/she told their friend from across the street, quite possibly an argument would ensue...

Yep that's real. I know many lucid dreamers who reported the same thing: the 'NPC's in their dream became nervous - sometimes even hostile at the dreamer - at the thought of being in a dream. Like in the movie Inception. I've never had such experience, I usually alone in my lucid dreams.

This technique is so freaking powerful I have a lucid dream almost every night I do it. It’s so powerful that I have to be careful deciding whether to do the entire technique or just part of it, because if I’m too awake and I do the whole thing, I will very likely have a hard time falling back asleep. If I hang the right balance of wakefulness and awareness on the nights that I’m doing this, I can even have a WILD lucid dream. It’s gotten to the point that I’m not even trying to be a master lucid dreamer anymore because together with the other techniques I do, I can lucid dream pretty consistently using this technique. I do All Day Awareness, and dream journaling, and in my dream journal I write down where in my dreams I should have become lucid. I also read my dream journal before sleeping and then I meditate for a bit before sleeping. All this barely gives me any lucid dreams at all, but when I do this technique together with the rest, I’m pretty sure all my other techniques help it to work a lot better.

It worked! I had my first lucid dream! although it was a real scary, but you know, I didn't really thought I would dream, what happened is that we had a class teacher absent and were gonna have 1 less class, so I watched this video before sleeping, I meditated for about 10 minutes and then went to bed not expecting a lucid dream, as soon as I got into my sleep I heard a very weird sound (similar to a microphone's zeeeee sound) and I couldn't really see properly (I believe this happened because I only did the first part of my cycle lol) but I was on my bed, thinking it was a sleep paralysis, too scared to notice I screamed and ran to my kitchen (idk why) one thing I failed to notice was that my kitchen was not there, and shaped like it had an exit if I needed to run away. Then it ended and I was on my bed again, after that my mother came with a lady she had some business with, I was telling her that the reason I got away from my bed was the sleep paralysis (which was actually a LD) as soon as I told her that I somehow teleported to a random street but with my senses awake, then it popped I immediately did a reality check, MY HAND WAS GREEN but it didn't last land and as soon as I thought about teleporting to a city, the dream ended and I was on my bed again.

I sometimes lucid dream without even trying to do it. It actually happens when my mind and body is relaxed, and usually it was afternoon and not in night, at that time I experienced false awakening but then realize I waked up from my dream in a dream because I was floating when I wake up so yeah I then controled things on how I wanted it to be, then I ACCIDENTALLY thought of negative things and scary stuff which result in nightmare and I can't grasp or control my dream anymore, and I was panicking which then result for me to be awake from my nightmare and after I wake up I can't move and my head was dizzy and I hear this high and loud tingling noise that makes me feel panicked even more, I tried to get up and scream help for my mom but I can't, it turns out I was experiencing sleep paralysis, and now I sometimes experience this and I hate how I always end up in sleep paralyzed which is the worse thing that happened to me every time I woke up
@kivindurant41536 ай бұрын
And yeah another one, if I had a lucid dream again I would never think or act again on struggling how to wake up or escape from my dream because it would only end up worse actually turn into a nightmare, so whatever you do in a lucid dream don't even try to wake up because if you do a sleep paralysis is waiting for you which is the worse experience

steps listed for those who are coming back before bed: step 1- go to bed and set an alarm to wake up in 4-5 hours. step 2- wake up when your alarm rings. stay awake for 5-10 minutes. step 3- go back to bed and lie down in a different position than your usual one. step 4- focus on the darkness behind your eyes, but do not move them as it will wake you up. focus on this for around 10 seconds. next, focus on the sounds you are hearing for around 10 seconds. finally, focus on the physical touch you are feeling (your blanket, your pillow, etc) for 10 seconds. repeat this sensory cycle five times. step 5- repeat step 4 but take 30 seconds with each sense. return to your most comfortable position and try to fall asleep as quickly as possible. from here, you should either wake up in your room or you will wake up in a different dream location with heightened awareness. if the latter happens, you will become aware that you are in a dream either instantly or soon after you enter the dream. from there, you will have entered your lucid dream. if the former happens, perform what is called a reality check and count your fingers. if your hand is slightly discolored and/or you have more or less fingers than you normally would, you have entered your lucid dream. if you do not, you are awake and have failed to lucid dream. *DOs:* -embrace random thoughts and physical feelings. don't push them away, they are signs that you are getting closer to your dream. -remain calm. if you get too excited, you will wake up. -expect nothing. lots of people go into steps 4-5 expecting to see, hear, and feel things, but this often ends up hindering the chances of the dream succeeding. -if you fail and wake up after doing a reality check, stay in bed, repeat some of the sensory cycles (each sense lasting for about 20 seconds), and try again. -if you lose track of how many cycles you've done, don't stress out, just start again from the last cycle you remember. -do not be discouraged if you fail, try again the next night! -keep a dream journal or other method of remembering your dreams, lucid or not. *DONTs:* -skip straight to step 4/perform the method without setting the alarm. -rush through the sensory cycles. -become discouraged if no hypnagogia (strange/abnormal sensory sensations) takes place. -focus on hypnagogia too much. -add steps or mix in other techniques unless you are an experienced lucid dreamer. *REMEMBER:* the odds are in your favor with this method! don't lose hope :)

I have been having dreams based on explosions or celestial events mainly revolving around explosions, typically when the explosion hits I'll close my eyes and then I realized that nothing happened but when I try to open my eyes I can't. A more recent dream I had started with me walking out of the house and looking up at a dark blue sky with stars, all of a sudden a black space appears in the sky with light bending around it. it takes me a moment to realize what's going on, the Earth was being sucked into a black hole, I look to my left and see my dad. that's when my lucid dream started, I try walking back to the house but the gravitational shift is causing me to not walk at all and I keep stumbling then I wake up.

I believe i had a lucid dresm for the first time when i was really young, many years ago, i remebers waking up, going to school, then from nowhere i was walking out of the main doors to my school, seeing my teacher i asked ”What day is it today” and i vividly remember her saying ”It’s saturday today”, right at that moment, i think is the moment i realized that i was in a dream, though being young and not knowing what was happening, 7yr me was like, ”Ooohh its saturday, that means im dreaming and if i wake up i can play on my dads computer” and then i tripped on purpose and woke up when i hit the ground💀💀💀, though to this day i have still not been able to recreate this, will definetly continue trying though! Wish me luck, and if you are a newbie and managed to ld, do give me any hints that he didn’t mention, if there is any!

Go to bed early (preferably before 11:00pm) Set an Alarm to wake up in 4-5 hours Wake up and get out of bed for 5-10 minutes (You can go to the bathroom and do some stretches) Go back to bed and try to lay down in a position you normally don't lie in (for me, its my left side) Do the steps: 1: Focus on SIGHT: Close your eyes and look at the darkness in your eyelids 2: Focus on HEARING: Hear your surroundings, heartbeat or fan 3: Focus on TOUCH: Try to feel anything, like tingling, just pick ANY ONE THING and focus on it deeply Don't strain your muscles; stay rested and relaxed while doing these steps Do this only for a few seconds, and then move on Do the cycle 5 times, do it quickly but focus Do the cycle 4 more times, but this time a little bit longer, for about 30 seconds each sense You might get allot of thoughts during this cycle, don't push them away as they might help you sleep Get into a comfortable position after you have done the cycles, and try to sleep as quick as possible

For me the hard part is interrupting my nice cosy sleep and getting up for ten minutes. The best way to bypass that and jumpstart a LD is to have a sleep partner who gets up earlier than you. Have them make you a tea or coffee. Doze until its at a perfect temp. Drink it all down and then get back to sleep before the caffeine kicks in. When it does you will wake up inside the dream.

What's one of the most memorable dreams for you guys? I had an apocalyptic one that started as an eventful day. Crashed a car, ran into old friends at a local takeaway, met up with some others, and headed back to their place to hang out, and then some of them started an argument. Rest of us were chilling in the backyard when all of a sudden there was the loudest rumbling I'd ever heard, turn around and it got real dark before the brightest ball of light came though the clouds, like the sun descending from the heavens. I was terrified yet awe struck at the sight, realising we were all about to die to an asteroid. I watched it crash almost in slow-motion, completely obliterating the surroundings. There was an eery silence straight after as the shockwave ripped through terrain and buildings towards us. Once it hit me I woke up instantly, amazed at what I just witnessed. There was a peaceful moment in all that chaos where I had accepted my fate. Most of my other dreams pale in comparison, not that there's a lack of them lmao. Its amazing how they're like memories imprinted forever in my conscience

Omg thank you so much! I managed to actually lucid dream with this technique for the very first time ! For everyone who's interested, here's what I dreamed of: So, I woke up in some kind of hallway. I got up and started walking around when I realized that I am in full control of my actions. I looked at my hand and I figured that I'm in a dream. I got so excited that I almost woke up, but I managed to calm myself down in time. I started walking around in what seemed to be a "magical theater", there were multiple actors walking around, talking to each other, getting lunch before their performance. There weren't only real actors but also fictional characters from animes, cartoon etc. I started looking for my comfort character, walking around, asking people if they've seen him. No one did and I got frustrated. I figured that maybe he's not here. That's when one person came up to me and pointed him out for me. I turned and there he was!! I hugged him and when I did so, I felt this intense warmth inside myself mixed with a feeling of incredible joy. I then woke up because I believe that these emotions were too strong. But when I tell you, this was an amazing experience!
