CPvP is the best counter against mace, since every technique it uses makes you go into air, which is a really vulnerable position in CPvP, not even mentioning that CPvP usually contains slow falling, which is the most effective way of counterplaying mace

@@JackLack-t9b landing a hit from a very high distance is only somehow possible if you do it sneaky and it's a 1 time thing, since the next thing you would see is yourself covered in slow falling arrows and mace would become irrelevant or the person would straight up crystal spam while you are falling, not giving you a single frame of attack

So the mace is a high risk high reward weapon that has deadly counters like the slow falling potion and end crystal but the reward you get from is the very high possibility to one shot or deal massive amounts of damage upon anything that you hit with it but at the sametime you need some skill in using the mace to use effectively, so basically the mace will thrive where the end crystal is banned and potions to be limited

Ok, let me name all the possible counterplays for the mace: - slowfalling - ender crystals - stalagmites - wind charges - punch 2 bows - shields - cobwebs (covering yourself with them) - ender pearls - fight underwater - fishing rods (if you got them before they jump you can cancel their jump or mess up their timing) - honey blocks You are welcome

i love diverse weapons like the mace and trident they just nerfed the mace u can't boost urself from the ground but it's still strong as heck

@@stevenperez4133 if there's a combat update i would like them to add more weapons like spears, spears would have a curious mechanic, they can hit from further but the closer you are to the obe using them the less damage it does, or maybe some kind of gauntlets that gives you the ability to spam but do way less damage and no knockback

@@InanamGames for me before they do combat update i want them to give mechanics and use for all the lowkey useless items in Minecraft which aren't integrated into a good system like make rotten flesh useful by making it food for some new monster idk something or make the geode more useful where most materials can interact with each other making almost all items in Minecraft baseline essential Minecraft has alot of mobs that are just for display and don't drop anything helpful or nothing at all hopefully the ender dragon egg can also have some use if anything Minecraft should change 1. make useless things useful 2. improve/ update architecture of other structures, catch up even a little to the standards of Minecraft builders 3. pls add more slots in inventory it's an issue that's so easy to solve and a game changer they tried adding pouches other things didn't work just simply add a few more slots in the inventory 4. remove or improve mobs that prove they are useless or don't serve their service

Ok the pearl+wind charge is brilliant. Harder to predict compared to just jumping with the windcharge, and still one shots Also there may be another counterplay to this other than totem. What if you just block the hit with a shield? Although the mace player can also go around this by changing direction mid air to hit the opponent on their backs. Man, so many possibilities with this weapon

You can try to shield it, but as you said, its really hard to predict if they are going for a backstab So I usualy just have the shield in my hotbar with a keybind

The best way to counterplay mace is slow falling, the only way you can use mace with slow fall is to dash with elytras directly into the person by spamming rockets, which is both inefficient, really difficult and predictable

I really like the mace, but what i dont like is the fact that its practically the same stats as a diamond sword. Like, for one, it doesnt look as iconic or as cool as a diamond sword when you're fighting with it and i dont want the diamond sword meta to be removed and replaced with a mace. If I were in charge, i would make its stats similar to an axe with who knows, maybe a longer hit cooldown by a bit like 1.1 seconds, so diamond swords still stay at top, like there are already plenty of gamemodes like UHC which uses the diamond sword. Now, the mace will prob replace it and whole new strats will be made, such as cobwebbing your enemy, towering 2 blocks and crit.

I would even say that as long as the shield blocks the crit damage completely with minimal durability loss w/ shield cool down the same as when hit by an axe, this should produce a pretty good meta where both will be used as a single loadout, jump crits look kinda hard to hit/ easy to dodge, it would be nice if wind charges could boost you forward if suspended in air.

@@cabudagavin3896 As an experienced sword pvper, I rly don't think its just that simple to dodge, jumb boost+wind charge can one shot fully prop 4 netherite armour. If you are good at the game, aim will not be a problem trust me, cpvp or just regular sword requires some precise aim most the time. Next, i rly think it can be enchanted, it being left out just dont make sense. and shield blocks? like all you have to do is double click them and jump with a wind charge or smth to one shot them, its damage and versatility unnecessarily replaces tons of strats and weapons for certain gamemodes. My fix is to disallow damage tool enchantments, mainly sharpness and make it have a long cooldown, doesnt stun shields, has the same damage as a diamond pickaxe on regular ground and let the damage only build up more slower while having a cap. like one shotting full prop 4 in like 6 blocks high is wild

​@@StaticBeamXD I definitely agree with your take on it being the same stats as a diamond sword, but I'm gonna be honest pickaxe damage for a weapon, which takes the longest time to charge and is literally the heaviest item in the game is just absurd. If I were to change it, I would probably make it MUCH slower, like 1.5 seconds, but with 10-12 damage base hit, which is basically a slower netherite axe. Also I completely disagree with putting cap on this item, It would ruin the most fun out of it, I definitely think they should make the damage acceleration MUCH slower, but it still should be possible to deal infinite damage, you would just need to go a lot higher, which would make it more challenging if not hardly possible

PvP is going to change a lot. And I believe it could be harmful in some way. Reason being is it will probably replace sword completely unless it doesn’t have enchants. Same thing goes with tnt. It got replaced with crystal PvP and I like to call this the modernization effect on Minecraft

I don't think they ever gonna cap this, I heard Kingbdogz liking the idea of helmets preventing the mace damage as they do with anvils and stuff, which can be a good way to make it slightly less dangerous, but I think Mojang definitely gonna make the damage acceleration slower
