Chris, I have been thinking about your retic lucy, and I am thinking that a big part of the reason why your retics look like they are going to lock, but then do not lock is because lucy does not have that much space. when I look at them when you showed the both in the same enclosure hoping they would breed they are coiled up on oppitsate ends. Maybe she needs a bigger and better enclosure. Maybe something about the size of a twin mattress, and vertical space for climbing, or a ledge so she can look down on her enclosure, or look down on the rest of the room. This is just some ideas. I am not experienced with pythons, but I am guessing more space would be nice to give her.

It's a labor of love, not fun cleaning poop but I look forward to interacting and checking on my snakes, and I think they get more used to me checking on them so they don't freak out so bad

Hey buddy. So I’m going with the PVC Coupler/Deli Cups. I bought a 4” and it happens to be 4” tall as well. Was going to use a 16oz cup. What size couplers and cups are you using for your subadults and bigger? Thanks Chris!

I switched to the watering can from a sprayer on your recommendation and it is much better ,great advice. I feed then check the day after to make sure there wasn't a problem eating . Then in a couple days i look in . Around the fifth day they start pooping so i spot clean the fifth ,six , day just peak in on each . Then its time to feed again . I use them pooping as a indicator as when to feed . If they poop i usually end up feeding the day after and most poop at the same day . They all poop on the six or seventh day so they all end up on the same schedule. If one doesn't i dont thaw a rat i will skip that snake . Its usually a common question how often to feed i go by the poop .

Chris I’ve seen some videos out there talking about leaving a piece of pure copper inside the water dishes, claiming that it helps keep the water cleaner & also adding other health benefits to the snakes. I realize that might just be another hassle with a big collection but I found it interesting & useful especially since a healthier snake is a happier snake 🐍

Interesting! I know copper can be toxic at higher levels, seems like you would maybe want some kind of a liquid copper solution so you could dose it right. Old timers used to drink whisky with a little gunpowder sprinkled on top, and cigarettes were once considered a 'cure all' for all sorts of diseases LOL.

I’d love to have the water on tap at the correct temp in my Snek Room I’ve been going back and forth on sink, no sink, just water without any hassle of installing a drain. Thanks for another awesome video.

I actually just bought him to do a video of corn snakes vs ball pythons LOL. I also never had a corn snake, just wanted the experience. I'm selling him because I don't really want to breed him, don't really need more pets either LOL.

Hey Chris. How do you monitor your humidity in each tub? I was suprised by how much water you were putting. Obviously your climate is different from here In Scotland but I find with mines in a viv just a couple of sprays and humidity rockets up.

I have a question. I see you use coconut husk, I've seen others just use paper towels. Idk which to use. Ideally coconut husk but where do you get that stuff in bulk? Also, I like updating you. That adult female I just got has still not locked. I'm going to seperate the male and feed him today. Possibly even try feeding the female too since she may not even be in her cycle.

How do you know which kinda humidity you have in the tubs? Like, if it's too high or too low? Right now mines at around 80-85% and she's not in shed. I'm trying to decrease it and get it back to 60-70% but it doesn't seem to work unless I leave half the tub open for a couple hours. I should have enough holes, 24 at the front, about 12 at the back and just a shallow water dish on the cold side. Ambient temp is at 25-27 °C. Any ideas to get it back down or is that good enough? I have a cat as well so I don't want to let the tub open unguarded. Blinds are usually half-closed, too.
