Great video! I’m a woman and I wish more guys would work that way to eliminate confusion. You’d be surprised how many are cool with that and if they’re not, they have a right to know to prevent getting hurt. One small challenge to something said: once or twice a week is what I consider a committed relationship level amount of seeing someone. That would actually make me think you’re interested in something more serious. Every two weeks says casual. And don’t call or text daily. Every 3 ish days. Any more than that says you want a relationship. And above all, say so within the first few weeks. Not months. Women can get attached way before the two month mark. Hope that helps anyone reading!

Honest question, why no committed relationship? If you care for them, why never go all in? Im in a casual thing but having some confusing feelings cause I want more… I dont need him around all the time but I’d like to know hes mine. No rush, but Eventually. Hrm... so there can be lots of reasons.. Also there are many kinds of casual relationship, but if you're in a situation where you genuinely like the person, often it's just a matter of wanting to be selfish - but mostly in a good way... You know you aren't ready to be in a healthy relationship for whatever reason, but you still want to feel intimacy in your life - not just sex, but a little bit of emotional connection as well. But since you're being honest with the other person, I'id mostly consider it a form of healthy selfishness, or self-care.

Men have casual relationships because that is how all relationships start these days, it is what women dictate. At the beginning she is probably dating and certainly talking to other guys, so by definition it is casual and not monogamous. Women have sex outside of committed relationships, so that is what men must do. Once you want to progress to an exclusive relationship you can ask him for that and establish boundaries, but a man can't commit to a woman before casual sex because women have casual sex.

It’s never okay to just “casually” have sex with other people. I’m sorry but so many people end up hurt even when they thought they could handle it. This increases the likelihood of STD’s and unwanted pregnancies. If you have needs, it’s okay to find someone who can meet those needs and do so with the intention of meeting theirs as well. For the rest of your lives. There is nothing wrong with that. Hooking up with multiple people is dangerous, and extremely selfish.

I think this is a disagreement of ideologies... Many things we do in life risk being hurt - in fact, many of hte most fun things in life carry this risk - Any kind of thrillseeking... Scuba diving, skydiving, motorbike riding, drinking hard on a saturday night, experimetning with drugs... To say we should never do anything that carries risk is a way to live - and some people swear by it - But I don't think it's fair to say it's not okay for anyone to take risks. If two people want ot take risks together, as far as I'm concerned, that is their choice as adults. I like motorcycle riding - if my girlfriend wants to jump on the back of my bike - that's a risk to her and me - but we do it in the name of living life ot its fullest. Does casual sex carry risks.. yes.. But not to the high degree many people who haven't lived in that way seem to think. Accidental pregnancy with protection is very rare (never happened ot me, or anyone I know, and that accounts for a lot of sex combined) - risk of STD is also possible of course, but again most are pretty harmless and curable (or vaccinatable) and the more serious ones, again the risk in the western world is insanely low when using protection. So is it a risk? Absolutely - but MUCH LESS risk than getting on my motorbike statistically speaking, much less risk than drinking on weekends statistically. We just choose our risks differently.
