How to Maintain Silk Pressed Natural Hair {Wrapping and Flexi Rods}

Maintain your hair outside of the salon for up to 2 weeks, possibly a month. In this video I show 2 methods of maintaining a silk press: wrapping and using flexi-rod to add curls.

I always wrap my hair with 2 scarfs when I get in the shower when I have a silk press plus a wig cap on top! LOL I be tryna preserve it as much as possible!

Yes the first ingredient is water. It doesn’t revert your hair though

No dryer. You can sleep with them overnight or if you want to add some curls before you go out at night it takes about 3-4 hours for them to work.

It’s tough, basically making sure you don’t sweat or putting yourself in position to potentially sweat your hair out.

@@lanti437 technically you can but it doesn’t seem easy, I would recommend a black licensed beautician. I get them like 3 times a year and they cost around $300 each. If you live close to Austin I have a great lady.

I use Mizani HRM spray after styling. It’s a humidity resistant hair spray
