Also when latex seals have had a long life and the material starts to break down they can become very tacky /sticky. The talc powder can be very useful until a fresh set of seals can be installed. It may be worth mentoring if the diver doesn’t fluctuate too much in body weight they may want to pre-size their seals for a proper fit at their workstation so they are property sized and on the ready in their kit. In the event they need to do an emergency exchange out in the field they won’t have a neck seal that is too tight causing a potential issue. I can’t think trimming a neck seal in the field would be much fun when your trying to be efficient to get your dive going. At least please encourage new drysuit divers at the very least to test fit their spare neck and wrist seals. The sizes could easily be over looked and it would be a bummer to pull a neck seal out in the field and find out they got a smaller size than they were expecting and have to call a dive off. Great video 🤙 Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

Hello Seattle Ring Hunter, we have the same issues with Silicone Seals as well. And yes, presizing seals makes life much easier. Thanks for sharing.

Hello mahmoud abdalmoniem, the easiest answer I can give you is, the one that fits and keeps you warm. There are so many choices out there. I would suggest going by your local training center and exploring the options they have. See if they have a rental program for you to try several.

How do you rinse the suit after a dive? Just put it on and hop in the shower?
@LakeHickoryScuba3 жыл бұрын
Hello Kevin Davison, depending on what type of water I made the dive in, Fresh - Salt- Contaminated. Mostly, I just spray it down after hanging it up, with just fresh water. For contaminated waters, I will brush it out with dawn dish soap, then use fresh water to rinse.
