CINNAMON SLICE
When I moved to London, a friend ironically introduced me to a Danish chain bakery called Ole and Steen, an offshoot of the (much harder to pronounce) Lagkagehuset bakery of Copenhagen. This pastry comprises of a pretty plait (braid) of custard and cinnamon and got me through my first British winter. It also directly inspired this recipe.
