Love this idea of water coloring with the embossing folders. I have never tried it before. I also like the re-embossing idea to restore the "puffiness" back. My favorite card is the rose one.

I just love their 3D folders. I am so impressed with your technique. I was worried that adding so much water would be a HOT mess. Both are lovely, but I choose the daisies. Yellow is most favorite color! TFS 😘

Oh Therese, these cards are beautiful. I don't own any 3d flower embossing folders but you're convincing me of placing an order!! I'm not good at coloring with any medium but this looks "easier". Thank you for sharing with us.

It works really well, adding colour by blending inks overtop too... you could even use chalks or alcohol markers.

I didn’t hold out much hope for the daisies, but you did a beautiful job of rescue. The roses card edged out the daisy card but just by a bit. You rock. Thanks for including the footage of the daisy card. It helps to know that even my most favorite creator struggles at times.

Daisies are my favorite flower, so that is my favorite! I bought a few of the 3-D folders from Altenew. I have had some problem getting them thru my machine. So far I have embossed them on dark cardstock and them brushed white pigment ink lightly over the raised sections. I will definitely have to try this method!! Thanks for sharing.

Each machine is slightly different, I've seen some people only use a base plate, the 3D folder and the cardboard packaging from the 3D packet and other people have used plates from different machines that are slightly thinner. So it may be worth doing a little 'test' run, but definitely don't roll it through if you feel too much pressure. It's better to start with less and work towards more (hope that makes sense). Well, your example gave me the courage to try a little watercoloring on the new Altenew lily 3-d embossing folder. I tried a new (not watercolor) cardstock by Cougar because Neenah has become SO expensive. It's very smooth like hotpress (wonderful for ink blending) and it did well with the watercolor medium, a bit to my surprise. Thanks for helping me launch out. I'm crazy about roses, so of course that's my favorite of your cards!

Love these. I'm going to have to buy some of these floral 3D folders. I don't think I've seen anyone paint them before. Looks fun. I've only seen using colored pencils and they're not my forte. I think the daisies are my fave. I must admit I didn't see it going anywhere for a while. lol

Other great 3D folders that are great have 'matching' stencil sets. So you can stencil the image first and then overlay the 3D folder, it's brilliant!

Just like you, I was not really loving the daisy card... until the end. It did really come together with the gold, the way you did the sentiment, the black embellishments... everything came together perfectly and it was my favorite. I was yelling at the computer to add black to the centers and then add the gold so I did see where it was going to go when you added brown ... which was a better idea than black.

Love both cards, as always. I like the image from the roses the way you painted it (I prefer roses to daisies), but the more modern clean finish of the second card appealed to me. And I don't think it's weird to want your palettes in the pain sets to stay clean.... that makes perfect sense to me!

Nice rescue on the daisy card. Actually I was sure that you intentionally used the brown so you could overlay it with the gold. Both nice cards, however, I vote for the roses. Using water colour pencils gives so much more control, I need to remember that.
