Nice video, Ben. What are you connecting your planer to for dust collection? Keep up the great work!

I have a link in this video for the hose I use. It is a 4" dust hose that can flex and fit wherever you need it. I hope this helps!

Do you recommend using some form of clear after the oil?

I use cutting board butter after I apply the food safe clear coat. The cutting board butter is made from beeswax and mineral oil. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Just curious if the sealant or glue would make people sick when they cut into the board while cutting foods? Thank you.

Great question! I use a food safe cutting board oil (there is a link to this product in the video description). Titebond III (wood glue) is also approved for indirect food contact. I hope this helps!

As a beginner, I have some questions. When doing the end grain board you started cutting with your miter gauge and a 123 block on the fence but then you took out the block and just used the fence. Why? Also you’re the first KZbinr I’ve seen that doesn’t spread the glue evenly with a brush or roller. Do you just not find that necessary or what? Thanks for the video!

Great questions! 1. The 123 block is there so I can get the exact measurement. However, you never want to your workpiece touching the fence and the miter gauge at the same time. This can lead to kickback. Once I use the 123 block, the workpiece is only touching the miter gauge. 2. It probably would be better to spread the glue, I just haven’t invested in a glue brush. Personally, I consider it to be more of a luxury tool. As long as you get good squeeze out in all your joints, you should be good! I hope this helps! Let me know if I can ever help with anything else!
