You can completely ignore the Dungeon crawling and just do market. The reason the MC goes in the dungeon is for the actual plot. She's in debt because the father left and got lost in some dungeon.

For any level, use the best booster box you have until you get to legendary. The legendary box has the best margin until the epic destiny box and then move up to the legendary destiny box. This will crank your cash up but exp will be reduced bc you get exp based on items sold and packs open. So once you have a ton of money, start selling the best box equivalent single packs. This way you’re making the best pack margin as well as making more sales in general. Also with the tons of cash you have, you can just rip a ton of basic card singles to boost exp. Super min max but play however you want.

I have been watching people play this game and I am thinking about getting the game because I have a theory on the actual best way to play the game. Hear me out and you might think as well its perfect. Ignore every item except the cards. Just don't even bother with anything but the cards for sales because the other stuff takes up way too much space and they don't sell and the profit margins are absolute garbage. So what you do is you line the entire walls with the tallest shelves then you put tables in the center of the room and have the register against the front window. Then the spray thing between the register and the door. Then set the second room up the same way. Hell the only plushie that gives the best profit looks like the bat but you can't put almost any on a shelf at all because they take up way too much space so just ignore them. Ignore everything but the cards. Then when you have maxed out well maybe put 1 of each other type of items on the shelves for 1 swift purchase but put 1 of each item in the display case and have the display cases as well so to get more people into the store. Also ignore the selling individual cards because that costs way too much and is a scam. Also that item that allows you to box up your garbage cards yea that shit is a really big scam.

For those not at epic/legendary basic destiny sells for more than rare destiny (no idea why) so you make a really good profit and you can get the £30k profit off selling only basic destiny boxes! Good luck and have fun

If you do the math, 20 percent above makes you the most money, even when factoring in only a 60 percent purchase rate. Even when scaling for high turnover. Lets say I buy 100 boxes for $50 and sell them for $100 at market price with 90 percent of customers buying them. Then lets say I buy 1000 boxes for $50 and sell them at a 20 percent increase for $120 with only 60 percent of customers buying them. And for simplicities sake, lets say I get 100 customers that day and each buying customer buys an average of 3 boxes each. It would be 90 x 3 = 270 boxes sold at $50 profit = $13,500 And 60 x 3 = 180 boxes sold at $70 dollars profit = $12,600 However. You have 10 boxes left in equation A. And a massive 40 boxes left in equation B. For the difference of $900 profit, the extra 20 percent is way way better. ALSO. That equation DOES NOT factor in that the 90 percent chance could only ever go up to 100 percent, a 10 percent chance increase MAX. The 60 percent can scale potentially another 40 percent MAX. If you cycle enough customers through the store before the day ends, you can almost always sell 90 percent of the stock at the 20 percent price increase. Meaning it is HUGEEEEEEEEEEELY more profitable overall and in every conceivable way. 20% is the best option. The rest all are variably worse.

@@serve97 Yes the binder has unlimited space to my knowledge. Also, I would really only recommend selling cards if you have enough to fill the table that are $50 and up. If you only have cheap cards you will actually make more money by pressing the Q key and then boxing the table up so customers go to your shelves instead

Maybe unpopular opinion but to me this seems like a bug: the game shouldn't reward such a minimal setup with that much money. I love minmaxing but if this is the best strategy for lots of money then it's boring. Customers should have a low chance of picking a random item from the shop, and that chance should only increase with a larger variety of items on sale. So having just 1 item on sale should return close to zero sales. Like you said in the video: "a lot of dissatisfied customers, but we don't care about those". And that's totally true, no reason to care about it because the money keeps coming

Although i would not consider it a bug, I would consider it poor game design. Hopefully with the implementation of the customer review app they will make it so that having dissatisfied customers actually means something in the game

I imagine this is all set up for that future feature: customer review app. Those dissatisfied customers will bomb a store's reviews and you will have a Reputation that goes down lowering profits. It's how I'd remedy without a refactor and it's a common trope in this type of sim. Imagine if you were taking a 40% drop in ratings daily. While selling "any old thing" to "any old customer" is profitable, those types of customers don't leave reviews so they shouldn't have a heavy weight in the ratings code. And if ratings/Rep effects number of people or type of customer or any number of factors then this playstyle dies.

Market price isn't the same amount you're buying the boxes for, that's the artificial price that it "sells for elsewhere" essentially. You're still making a lot of profit, moreso than when you add +10% because the amount of customers that will abstain from purchasing the products they randomly select goes from 90% to 75% Think of it this way. Imagine a hypothetical where 10 customers come into your store and consider buying an item that has $100 profit at market value. The store selling the item for market value will make, on average, $900 per 10 customers. The other, however, selling the item for $110 (10% increase) will only make $825 per 10 customers

If you look at the "Set Price" screen refer to the "Avg Cost" for how much you're paying per box, not "Market Price". It'll make a lot more sense ^^
