Just like the Brandon Carter episodes, this one was tailor made for me. Just got my CDL 8 months ago and been driving an 18 wheeler professionally for the last 7. Been OTR to 44 states and am making more now than i ever have in my life along with recruiters constantly hitting me up for more opportunities. Ive got my sights set on 3 once I get my year in, and haven't decided yet on which one I'm going to take. In either case, I'll be making 110k+ once I get that year in. I took my Hazmat Endorsement test and aced it 100% on the firsr shot last month. I'll be picking it up tomorrow in my home towns P.O Box. Afterwards I'll be heading to the DMV to pass my Tanker endorsement test to add that to my license as well. I absolutely owned 2022, 2023 and I will own 2024 as well. 💯 Let's work fellas 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

@Sn1peSh0t112 me being a single man with no kids, you already have the wrong mindset my guy. Worrying about days off is the reason so many of us aren't making that money already. Just being 💯. "Greater Later." Shout out to Brandon Carter. Put in the heavy work up front so that you can EARN those days off later and reap the benefits of your labor. AKA Earn Your Leisure. If you're a new father, you should have been grinding twice as hard as me well before your child got here. I've literally been grinding, planning, networking, taking notes, sacrificing HEAVILY, taking huge leaps of faith, destroying my comfort zones, lived out of my car for 4 years, got mentors while also mentioning others etc to ensure I intentionally put myself INTO position to be a deadly unshakable force for my children once I DO have them. I'm doing what it takes to make it happen while also keeping my moves aligned with my goals/passions that I excel at. Everything I'm doing is set on a path to get me where I ultimately aim to be when I have 4+ sources of income/passive income. Before anything else my brotha, shift that mindset to doing whatever it takes to solidify the future for yourself and your child. "Do what others aren't willing to do right now, so that you can do what others aren't able to do later" Whatever it takes ✊🏿💯🔥

This episode has been a long time coming and really opened my eyes to the fact that us men need to be focused on infrastructure/trade jobs instead of dreaming about becoming an artist/creator like most of us have. My dad is a plumber, he works for himself and said after I finish in military I can come work for him, he said if I’d been working for him as long as I’ve been in the military I’d already be making 100k, do you think it would be better to work for family in plumbing or get a plumbing apprenticeship with a company?
@thaddeusbrown-walker87068 ай бұрын
@@amazinglats6020 assuming the family company is legit, you can do both at the same time. Just make sure your hours are properly tracked and reported to the state to progress your apprenticeship

Just to squash the bit if misinformation about plumbers, you can't (at least in my state) get your journeyman license in 6 months. It requires proof if 8000 hours worked to even apply for the license test. But, most people with a journeyman license are knocking on the door of 6 figures if they aren't the master license holder for a shop. And he's right plumbers and electricians are allergic to each other. But there's a level of unspoken respect between them because they are 2 of the highest paid trades and the schooling required for each.

I’m 24 now and made a 160k and 130k the year before. And I only work hard some days. And have a truck and housing payed for and am able to study and invest as I work. So even if this reaches one guy that’s in a slump get in the oil field in west Texas just can’t be a puss. Apply at many different places and find one you really like.

Just because you missed this live doesn't mean you can't ask your question. Go and look for electricians and ask them personally. Fresh and Fit aren't the be-all and end-all, they just open your eyes to different opportunities that you don't realize are out there.

IMO we need trades back in the schools, some folks in my generation complain about low paying jobs but are unaware of great careers like this, hell I was lucky most of my family came from trades which is the reason I was able to get into one

All my guy that’s don’t want to go to school try to get ur foot into the oil&Gas Industry. Try to land on a rig or casing crew. It doesn’t matter if it’s drilling or work over you’ll make good money especially in North Dakota, Canada. There’s a bunch of other states too but those two are the highest paying.

You’re forgetting that most people that have the skills to manage people and a business are in college at this point. Tradesmen often do a damn good job at what theyre told to do but struggle if not directed in my personal experience.
