I have 2 questions 1. How can I cut a 1080 and 1440 degree flare ? 2. Since you didn't shape the skirt and allowance was not created, what if the skirt got tight on the person wearing it so how will the person go about losen it ?

She has explained how to add your required length , which you want 35" to your waist radius to get the total length to cut Now, if you are running short of length after folding the fabric. You dont fold into a square as shown in the video. Simply first fold your entire fabric along the length , thenake second fold along the width of the fabric. Now, if you fold further into a triangle, start marking the length from the folded long side of the triangle. Dont worry about length being a bit short on the straight edge, as you add a joint to make up the length on probably two layers of fabric in most cases, with the straight edge of the piece left after cutting out the skirt. This is usually done when the width of the fabric isn't too wide. If you have a large width of fabric then, it isn't a problem to cut a skirt without any joints.

Some people cut flare and divide tge waist by 4 only plus zip allowance and seam allowance irrespective of the flare used but here you have different formulas to divide this. Why is that so?

For the 90⁰ skirt, I think its because a full circle is 360⁰ and 360⁰÷90=4... that's what I observed.

This is where mathematical equations regarding circles come into play with circles. For a circle skirt, divide your waist measurement (including ease) by 6.28. For a three quarter circle skirt, divide your waist measurement (including ease) by 4.71. For a half circle skirt, divide your waist measurement (including ease) by 3.14. To calculate the radius for a 720° circle skirt, you can use the formula: Radius = Circumference / (2 x π) π = 3.14 For example, if your waist measurement is 18 inches, then the radius would be: Radius = 18 / (2 x 3.14) Radius = 18 / 6.28 Radius = 2.86, which can be rounded to 2.9 You can also use a circle skirt calculator to help you calculate the yardage.
