I love how you show us how to make new color group in swatches! Questions: 1. How do you make your knife so regular when cutting the ellipse? 2. My ellipse does not turn out like yours when I use (Opacity --> Screen), the outer circle still can be seen. How to fix that? I also found out that if I use CYMK color mode, I cannot use function Opacity --> Screen.. unless I use RGB color mode. (I'm a beginner)

1. You need to draw with a knife very slowly 2. You need to be shure what you using classical black in a gradient ( black code :000000). It works only with this color. In other ways you will see like white circle around 3. Truly I really rare work with CMYK and can's say why it so.

When I select the shape and the text and press alt+ctrl+c, an error window appears saying "This requires a selection of objects, the top object must be a single path" do you know why this is happening? Yes. You need to use classical black in a gradient. The color code of black color 000000. Only with that color "screen" will work. In other way you will see white circle

Is your color mode RGB??? Check it. If you have CMYK then change to RGB

I'm trying your technique, but for some reason, I cannot get the swatches to change color. I select the word, click on eyedropper, click a color swatch, but nothing happens.
