I can see this working great in a timber hole where you don't have as many decoys and really only want the water motion. I'd want a heavier weight to be able to put lots of pull for lots of motion. Great video thanks. Blessings to you!!!

I tried this with duck butts and it didn't work, not enough weight, will try again this year. I have an awesome DIY blind design, but I'm not a YT. I took that green plastic netting and woven in fragmites and cattail brush. With a few wooden stakes and 5# hammer you're good to go. I can send pictures if you're interested.

If you had some current in the water then yea, that would work good. If not, they would sort of bunch up I think.

If you want multiple you can tie the weight to a bungee cord and tie the other decoys along the string

Why does it matter about the color of the weight if it's at the bottom

A bright neon pink weight in shallow water will probably be visible to ducks. If the water is cloudy or the weight is any reasonable color, then it doesn't matter.

Probably the worst jerk rig i’ve seen. So many better options if you are willing to spend 5-10 dollars. You can get more decoys moving too.
