Great job explaining, easy to follow!! Liked that you talked abount cutting on the "inside" of the line when using the table saw. For me, I would just block sand the lap joints a little to get a flush fit vs. resetting the saw blade. Never thought about using a wood burning, great job!!

Might want to consider using a "depth gauge" to set your blade.

Funny, I do have one...

I'm surprised you wouldn't just lay your template down when doing your lap joint on top of the table. Saw to copy the depth. That way you wouldn't have to go through all that setup again. Just lay your template down, raise or lower your saw height until it contacts your wood. There you go cut it out

Hi Luther, I noticed that your stars are not pointing up. This is a common oversight when we make these flags. Love your idea of the burned lines
@LuthersWoodworking10 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what your looking at. The stars are the correct way.

Marvin Hicks I don’t want to speak for him but there are 6 stripes below the union on the American flag. That may be his reasoning

I think editing is in order. Videos would be shorter without showing all the sanding, burning each line etc. Other than that nice.

@@LuthersWoodworking Hey, Luther. Did you purchase 1 x 4 boards or did you rip these boards from larger boards, say 1 x 10's or 1 x 12's?
@pteddie6965 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, Luther. I just watched the video again and saw you ripping down your own boards.
@LuthersWoodworking Жыл бұрын
I bought 1 x 4 But you can rip boards down if you want, it works either way
