Thank you for your tutorial and pattern :0) I have made many canopies for friends. I put a little spin on my canopy. I use snaps on the sides instead of Velcro and a 22 inch zipper on the middle of the canopy for easier baby access. Thanks again.

I am in the process of making this cover now! It's one of my very first sewing projects. :) So far, so good. I could not find cording so I made my own with some thicker string and quilt binding. Getting ready to sew the cording on to the top piece of fabric now. Wish me luck! :) Have found your instructions very easy to follow so far. Thanks!

Christa - my recommendation would be to try making the "basic fleece Pants" or the "Horned Hat"... Just to get your feel wet. Then I say go for it! Let me know how your project turns out! Good luck!

I downloaded that one and the other one with the window that one is a little harder to put togeather your right its like a puzzle but ill get it Thank u for the download that's very sweet of you ....
@FleeceFun12 жыл бұрын
@mimasnryan619 You will need to cut it out twice - 1 for the exterior and 1 for the interior. So you will place it on the fold, cut 1 and then place it on the fold and cut 1 more. Good luck and please feel free to ask more questions.

You stated the design was porportional and the longer side is the top but is that the front or the back ? I am thinking it goes towards the front of the carrier, but just wanted to make sure before I monogrammed on it.

If I don’t have access to the car seat (it’s a gift) do you have suggestions for the placement of straps and Velcro to close it around it? Thank you

Hi Angel! i love this pattern! i have made a couple for friends. i wanted to ask you if you could give me an idea on how i can make it with a slit in the front for an opening but also maybe with a closure to keep it closed. THANK YOU!
@FleeceFun8 жыл бұрын
+Faby Ruiz ok.... What I would do is make the slot like the slits that are on the sides of the cover. To close it I would make tabs that snap or button Accross the slit. Hope that helps!

The fabric I am using has a design that I want to make sure is facing the correct way. Right now I am assuming that the #1 on the top of the pattern covers the back of the carseat and #13 and #14 covers the front (where baby sits) Is this correct?
@nevrslipnalwaystripn85297 жыл бұрын
Any chance this can be done with one yard each for the top and bottom fabric

Hi Brittani - try using the link in the description and see if you have better luck.

@sguishy89 @mimasnryan619 It's just my way of doing it - it's not necessary. It's the easiest way for me. You can just as easily do it with a standard foot.

Does anyone know how to make the covers that go over the part the baby lays on? I have a car seat but want to change it up.
@absynthefaerie5 жыл бұрын
Kimberly Brooks I know this was asked a few years ago but I want to answer it incase someone else is curious too... it is unsafe to change the car seat cover yourself because the fabric is fire resistant, and you don’t want to have a pattern meant for a different car seat because it won’t fit correctly. You are 100% better off contacting the manufacturer with the make and model of your seat and seeing if they have any other covers to purchase. There are some people and shops that make car seat covers (like The Canopy Shop) but as I said you don’t know if the fabric is correctly treated nor if it will fit your seat because there is no such thing as a universal cover.

how did you sew the button on, using the machine???
@FleeceFun8 жыл бұрын
+sexiredd127 you can get a button foot for you machine. Basically you set your machine to a very tight satin stitch and adjust the stitch width to work with the holes. Sew on to desired tightness. I like to hand tie the loose threads.

I am not sure how you did this - I just checked the download and it's working properly. It sounds like you accidentally clicked on an ad - please see the "Start Here" video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4Kkf5uKiL6ZmNE . To download the pattern click on the pattern envelope located below the "Download the pattern" section. The file is not infected - my site is regularly scanned. Make sure you have Adobe PDF Reader on your computer.
