Make your own bead roller for under $20. No more issues under boost. Now you can roll your own beads on induction tubing and keep from blowing of pipes while under boost. This is a very easy fabrication how to and can be completed in minutes for under $20.

Gotta bring this back from the dead because I found it helpful in 2019. Another helpful tip is to use a little spritz of hair spray when installing couplers and it will prevent slip off!

This looks like a great option for pipe beads- I've been popping my charge pipes a lot since installing an aftermarket intercooler and pipe- I'm definitely going to do this- Thanks man! 👌👍

This just came up on my feed. Probably because I checked eBay for a bead roller the other day. However my pipes are steel so I tinned the ends with soft solder and soldered a stranded copper wire around the pipe end. Simply test the ends together and solder. Finally trim off the excess wire and file smooth.

*F A N T A S T I C* idea; thanks; i will prepare a tool for that! or maybe drill a shallow 6mm hole on one jaw of a vise-grip (better on cheap, soft, pliers) and use a small ball bearing on the other; actually,it's best to drill both jaws,to locate the steel ball in place! By no means you need to do it all around; manufs.do it because it´s easier for them; i'll just do it on 6 or 8 spots, that will prevent the hose from sliding off; i usually put 6 or 8 spots of regular solder in place,if it's steel or ss(for ss you need to put a little piece of ZINC in a little hydrochloric acid (CAREFUL!!!),in a glass-will get hot-and use the remainder,AFTER all boiling stops as flux for the solder to adhere to the stainless).

This is exactly what I was looking for. The other method I saw was some vice grips with an exhaust clamp welded on but my IC pipe is oval, not round. This is perfect. Really ingenious! The only thing I have found is that those crimper/cutters are not that easy to come by, especially here in the UK. Thank you for this - can't wait to get mine!

If you grind a gap all the way back to the hinge with a flat back the metal will seat more reliably, and you wont have such an inconsistent bead.

Besides making a micro model from a pair of needle nose pliers, is there a tool to do crimp rings &bead rolling on small tubing? By small I mean 1/4" or 3/8" or 1/2"? Or would throwing a mild flare on the ends ideally be enough?
