Thanks, Gio and Janette! I ended up going to a hardware store and found a carving took very similar to the dental tool. One end was dull (the best end to use) and the other sharp. Works great! :)

On your web site, it says to wrap 20 rows. Is it 15 or 20? In the second section, do you have to do a 1 over 2 stitch, or can you do a 1 over 1?

Where can I buy an all metal hook? Is that what you are using here? My loom hooks that come with the looms just snap inside the rubber/flexible handle. So aggravating! Thanks!

My Martha Stewart hook broke as well. I called customer service and they sent me a new one, but it is still the same material. So, I bought the Boye Loom Hook at Walmart on clearance for 75 cents (regularly $1.74)....it is a sturdy metal hook with a red handle...it works great!

It wasn't difficult at all and it was my first loom project. It was too tight, though, so I need to work on that part! :D
