How to make a Bed Comforter in Marvelous Designer

I recently worked on a personal project where I made a bedroom scene and needed to create my own bed in Marvelous Designer. It was requested that I make a tutorial on how to do this, so I did just that. Hopefully it is easy enough to follow for beginners and intermediates, it takes some finessing but overall it is easy enough to accomplish. I rendered my final bed in Cinema 4D and Octane. Remember that scale is important in Marvelous Designer for good simulations. I am not an expert, but I'm happy to help any way that I can, so let me know in the comments if you have any questions!

Excellent tut Nina, I've just downloaded the trial version. As I've been doing cloth sims in Blender, and its painfully slow, so hopefully MD should be a little faster. Please make more MD tutorials if you can ;)

can i use this for a scene in unreal engine? I am assuming that i would have to retopologise it in order to bake the bed for substance painter?

oh im so sorry Im not sure. I do believe you'd have to merge the entire bed together, re-uv map it and then bring it into substance painter as one object with 1 or multiple UV maps.
