I love everything about this video. It's my first time making any type of bouquet, and she's so easy to follow. She had me laughing throughout the entire thing, which makes you relax and its easier to learn. Thanks

Very helpful! My sister is looking into getting these for her wedding but was afraid the diy would be too hard. You made it look super simple! Sent her the video so she can see how easy it is!

How do you “move the greens up”? I have lots of greens but don’t understand how they’re just sliding up the stem.
@OhYoureLovely2 жыл бұрын
Its going to depend on the greenery you are using not all greenery is created the same way. Here is a tutorial on a few ways to stem up greenery if you need to: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6ulnoiJnK2shLM ( I show lots of ways to use the greenery at about the 12 min mark)

Do you have to dye the cream flowers with white paint, or can you stem and use them straight out of the box?
@OhYoureLovely4 жыл бұрын
I stem them and use them in their natural coloring but you can dye them white if you want to get them more bright white vs the cream color the wood is naturally

My wedding is not for a year or so, just got my kit cause I was so excited! Should I open up the plastic bags the flowers are I'm? I wasn't planning on making the bouquets until I could with my bridesmaids. Of course storing in a cool dry place
@OhYoureLovely2 жыл бұрын
I would at minimum put a few air holes into the bags. Happy crafting!

The dye that you used, is it just acrylic paint from a store like Hobby Lobby? I’m wanting to use a burnt orange but I’m worried I will order the wrong dye from Sola’s!
@OhYoureLovely2 жыл бұрын
We do carry paint now ohyourelovely.com/collections/wood-flower-dye but you can also very easily use craft acrylic paint or latex paint water it down and add glycerin if you would like. I like to do a 50/50 ratio of paint and water with a splash of glycerin.

What are the ratios of bundles if you get a bridesmaid size bouquet?

How well do the dyed flowers fair over time? I’m getting married in September of 2022 and may only have access to being near where my wedding will be held six months prior. If I made the bouquet in March would it still look great for September?
@OhYoureLovely3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I would keep it out of direct sunlight and dont store it in a tight sealed container and you should be just fine. I have bouquets in my studio that I worked on years ago and they still look great.

Do raw flowers need to be glycerin/water dipped to keep them pliable?
@OhYoureLovely3 жыл бұрын
Not normally but you can if you want. The flowers naturally are pretty durable it is the paint dyeing that tends to change the texture and durability of the flowers.

Do you have to dye the raw flowers
@OhYoureLovely3 жыл бұрын
You dont have to unless you want to I really like the flowers as is in their natural state.

Yes trim the wires. If they were to catch on the bride’s dress, it would tear. 😞

How long does it take for the dyed flowers to dry. Do you suggest stemming the flower then dyeing. Thanks
@OhYoureLovely3 жыл бұрын
Typically they take 24 hours to dry. I normally like to stem my flowers after I dye them.
