You do a great job explaining and showing every step while staying at beginners pace. I want to buy the material and try now.

Amazing. I don’t think I’ll make a whip, but it does make me appreciate your work even more. Did I miss Part 1?

Getting the strands to stay put while taping them together before plaiting can be challenging. My solution is to take a core strand and needle and run it through the strands in order, 1/4 of an inch from the end of each strand, then I go back through again 1/8 of an inch down so that the ends of the core strand are together. I tie them in an overhand knot with enough slack to adjust the spacing of the strands as needed. None fall out while taping, and these "stitches" are disposed of when trimming the taped strands.

Would there be many meaningful differences to working with flat leather instead of Paracord? And would you have any recommendations for leather that would be most similar to a 1:1 swap for the Paracord you use? At some point I want to try leather as I like the weight distribution of leather whips i have used a lot, and was wondering how much the process would need to change Edit: this probably belongs on the overlay video as thats the only one id imagine you want to do in leather.

Hello, a big difference between leather and paracord is that in leather whips you taper the strands to get more thin as you move down the body of the whip, where paracord has a fixed width. You could do a leather whip with strands the same width as paracord, but you'd lose one of the main factors why kangaroo hide whips can have such a smooth feel.

do you remove the inside strands of the paracord.

Voting is just the first step. The literal least one can do. We'll still have to fight tooth and nail for actual change toward net zero. Which isn't to say voting isn't super important. You need to have someone you can actually fight with and not someone who will just toss cops at you, laughing on truth social about all the protestors injured.
