Here is a list of ingredients in case, like me, you can't write things down fast enough: water, glass jar, tubes of glitter glue, tubes of glitter, spoon or whisk, plastic bottle, clear glue, food colouring, paper plate skewer, superglue and optional glitter duct tape. Haven't tried it yet but don't have glitter glue. Have seen on other videos that they use dishwashing liquid or baby oil. We'll see how we go.

I’ve been a psychotherapist for almost 15 years, I love your channel, I learn new things, my sister has severe Adult ADD, it helps me understand her and my clients, and I recommend your channel to clients to help with coping skills
@treasurerecovery2 жыл бұрын
@Leslie Shepherd Thank you for the extra time you take to learn about this... for your sister AND your patients. It's so incredibly difficult to find a therapist or psychoanalyst that has an understanding of ADHD and can sympathize with us. This is extremely vital when treating us for our traumatic past. Much of what we're being treated for has to do with our ADHD, how society and family has reacted to our behaviors and idiosyncrasies and how we have perceived their treatment and built walls, brick by brick, that cause more dysfunction in our lives. We are ALWAYS looking for ways to fix things, making others happier when we should be learning about ourselves and learning coping skills that will make ourselves happier. It's people like you and Jessica that provide the validation that we've always needed in order to grow and move forward with answers and solutions. Again, thank you. And thank YOU Jessica! ~ Suzy P

I shouldn't have to say this, but it happened to me so I feel I should warn those like me: soooooo.... if you made the calming bottle out of, for example - a Lucozade bottle, and feel the need to bring your bottle with you in your bag, and you happen to have (in this case) Lucozade drink with you- also in your bag...... make sure you take a sip out of the right bottle........ glitter looks awesome, but it really doesn't as awesome -___-

+Sakura Faery hahaha oh no I can't even imagine. It does help to glue or tape them shut! You okay? #glitterpoop
@sakurafaery33868 жыл бұрын
Haha.. well I was procrastinating getting superglue to seal the lid... still haven't done it... but I think it would've happened anyway, as you said you can still open it. Tape sounds like a good idea. Luckily I never added clear glue, just non toxic glitter glue, and I realized after one sip. Then I went around saying I'm so glamorous I will be pooping glitter... The only really bad side to this was that most of my blue glitter is now gone, making my bottle green -____-

I know this is years and years later, but I wanted to say that if you're a crafter like me, throw some mica powder in one too, it makes a really pretty shimmer/pearlescent effect and doesn't take much! It also settles much slower in my experience! Thank you for the video, I'm an adult and didn't know how much I needed these, they're so helpful for when I'm having a panic attack or meltdown in my car

I made my first one earlier today! Was having clumping issues, BUT the interesting thing is that after I added clear glue the clumps broke up! o_o Then again, I didn't use glitter glue in mine... I wonder if it's something to do with the glue... anyway, thank you for the inspiration to make one :D They're really hard to put down! XD (I don't have ADHD, but I do have anxiety; since some of the symptoms are similar, your videos are amazingly helpful and I love them!) EDIT from a year later, lol: Okay, so it turns out I'm all but diagnosed with ADHD, lol (apparently that one therapist I saw wasn't familiar with ADHD in adult women); no wonder your videos were clicking with me! What a hectic household! AND I raised them alone!! Please don't try to imagine how I did this. I couldn't tell you even if I wanted to! 😂 And now my grand daughter and I have ADHD "episodes" together when we go crazy and wild, sing, scream, and dance. Then when we return to society, we "behave" like ladies, and look at each other and giggle. Lol.

@How to ADHD, a really good bottle to use is the plastic VOSS water bottles! They're perfect cylinders when you put the cap on! I also like to use a little bit of a white pearlescent acrylic paint, so when you swirl the bottle around the pearly shimmer swirls around too! It's amazing. :)

I work at a preschool and made these with my class of school agers a few ago in the summer. You can use water and baby oil to get same effect. I think I like it better made with oil because the water and oil separate and I like violently shaking the bottle to mix them.

just a lil FYI for the lazy, those who don't like to craft, or those with an aversion to making a mess with glitter: You can buy what is called a "GLITTER WAND" commercially, and I imagine they would work similarly for you :) I just spotted a few iterations on eBay and bought one. I am crafty and enjoy glitter, but just too lazy to mess with this right now (plus knowing me, it would cost more to make than to buy a ready made one!) I even saw them as KEYCHAINS, which I thought was great. Something super portable that could help someone calm in public is a good thing! Have fun!

i love you so much. I have been struggling with whether or not to go back on meds for years. I felt like i have to be able to do it off the meds. I was placed on meds at 8 but I resented it and thought people just didnt like me for me. at 22 i realized that wasnt the case I NEED the meds to be able to function like other people can naturally. I am 34 now and have tried 3 times to get on my meds but was going through the state psychs to help. they didnt help bc they cannot prescribe what i need due to the misuse of others. It has been so damn hard to get anyone to listen to me. "youre an adult you cant have adhd you must be bipolar" whilst not having any symptoms of bipolar...... now I have been told that i need to go through a primary care doc like when i was a kid. so I am goign to try that this time. cuz nothing else works. i feel like the focus techniques and planners would work with meds but off meds...... nope nothing works, nothing. my daughter also has adhd we both are also on the spectrum. so i thought it would be nice if we make these today. im very grateful for finding this.

My therapist (which my Mom enrolled me in) is telling me to just ignore him on this, BUT I CAN'T!!! Have you ever felt that? Anyway... so I don't know what to do if my own parent is shouting at me "You're a liar" I just need some tips. Especially for my Grandma. I told her I can't focus because of my ADHD and asked her if I could get a Tangle at the store, she said "No! You concentrate fine." I responded with " I focus with things I like, if I don't like things I can never concentrate" she said "Everyone does that!" [rolled eyes] That kind of stunk. I told her multiple doctors told me and she said "Really I'm a doctor and I don't say so." I said she is a surgeon, not a phycologist and she took away my phone. Please help with some advice!!!!!

Will it be safe to make one small enough to fit in a purse or backpack? I am going to be a freshman in high school soon and I wanted to make one to take some stress off.
