How to make a candy bouquet for Christmas

What you will need to make this Christmas Candy Bouquet
1 x container like a small Christmas themed vase. We have used ceramic but good quality plastic or tin/metal will do.
The container dimensions we have used are:
Top diameter: 12cm
Height: 10cm
Bottom diameter: 8.5cm
Try Amazon, eBay gift shops, dollar store, hardware stores etc
Paper
Red or another Christmas themed colour paper. Preferably Non Woven Fabric paper or the best quality tissue paper you can find.
Try craft shops (Hobbycraft in UK), Amazon, dollar store, eBay, floristry websites etc. Try searching for "Red floristry fabric wrap spider web" or similar on eBay and Amazon.
You will need one roll or enough sheets to make 13 of 15cm a 15cm squares but remember you may need more squares for stems if your container is bigger than what we have used or less if it is smaller.
Foam
We are using in this training white polystyrene which has been cut to size and pushed into the container. You can use polystyrene too or Oasis dry floral foam. Both are easily available online from Amazon, eBay and other stores including craft stores.
Skewers
Standard wooden skewers (sticks) from any supermarket. One pack is all that is required as you only need 15 - 20.
You won't be using full length sticks as they are too long for this bouquet.
The back and side have longer sticks than the middle and front as you need to create a 'fan' look of larger chocolates at the back so make them taller.
So for the back and side cut 5 x 20cm
Then for the middle and front cut 11 x 16cm
REMEMBER: If you use a larger or smaller size container then you may use more or less sticks.
These aren't exact and you may use a few more so just bare in mind the different lengths.
If they are still too long when you are trying to push them in, just cut another cm off. Just practice and you'll soon get the hang of it as this bouquet is easy to make.
Cut them ideally with garden secateurs, but a sharp good scissors can be OK too.
Chocolates/Candy/Sweets
We have used 14 including midi sized chocolate bars, candy canes and there is 1 candy Santa. Allow for anything between 12 and 20 chocolates and sweets.
Depending on the actual diameter and size of your container you will use more or less. Just follow the design style and you can easily make your bouquet bigger or smaller as required.
If you use full size chocolate bars check your container diameter as it may need to be bigger than what we have used to prevent it from falling over.
Use what chocolates/candy/sweets as you like! Create your own themes!
Christmas accessories and decorations
Be creative and have fun! We have used a candy Santa and a snowman decoration that has a stick/spike on it to go into the foam. Buy something that can be pushed into the foam, there are may choices available online and in main stores (including B&M, Wilkinsons etc.), craft shops, online florist supply shops etc.
* You may have to glue or sellotape a stick onto some decorations to enable them to be pushed into the foam*
