The cake is detailed- but not overdone- and I like the loyalty to the (updated) game board. I've seen round cakes that incorporate the Candyland game 'in spirit', crowned with a few oversized lollies and stabbed with mini candy canes, circus peanut candies, etc. But the game board adaptations are my favorites, especially with a path of Starburst or other square-shaped candies. I played in the 70's, when Princess Lolly roamed among lollipops and Queen Frostine sailed an ice-cream sea. Each cake adaptation is unique.
