How to Make a Cardboard Ewok Village

Thanks for this. I commented on the Endor game that the set was nicely done and I meant it. Far larger and more three dimensional in scope, it showed a lot of creativity and imagination. I am a fan of historical wargaming (the Zulu battle was epic in its scope), but seeing such a 3D effort here was also a nice change of pace.

The trees are mostly 3D printed from free STL files, but some of them are craft made. We have a few photos on our website, but the trees are cardboard tubes, coated in watered-down glue and textured paper towels. We based them on thick cardboard and covered the base in flock and foliage!

That remeinds me of the Ewok Village scenario from the old WEG Star Wars miniatures battles game, I think they had a similar idea for building scenery.

Nice tutorial. I'd be curious to see a comparison between the old West End Star Wars miniature battles and the newer one. Of course it might be tough for you guys to find the books and supplies from the old game.

I like Star Wars but really have no interest in watching this. But because it's Little Wars TV, I did. And, heh, it WAS interesting .... 8-) p.s. I worry that the trees are actually chocolate logs. They won't last, especially at this time of year.

Miles rules all, is that suckling up enough? As for the character I'd like to see, Darth Maul I could see as a powerful combatant. Lando of course, and maybe an odd choice but Ashoka Tano. I'd say Tano because how interesting the effect of a rebel spy having information on stormtroopers movements and strengths coming into play (disinformation or true) on turns 2 & 4 say. I believe that could enhance game play and toss in some extra excitement. I'm

Those would be available in Character Expansions. They just released the second Starter Box, it's Clones v. Droids, so you'll be seeing Maul soon and Asokha no doubt.

They are cardboard tubes wrapped with paper towels! Very simple. Just apply watered down craft glue to the cardboard and apply the paper towels. They soak up the glue and you can use a brush to enhance the texture before the glue dries. The key is just to find paper towels with ridged texture to them!
