How to Make a Cat Scratcher

Scratching is an essential part of your cat's life. Make this simple DIY cat scratcher to provide your pet a great scratch area and some safety for your furniture.
VERY IMPORTANT: Make it yourself, but take care of your pet. Use non-toxic materials and never add any pieces that can easily detach. If you see your cat chewing cardboard, immediately remove the item from your pet’s environment.

Thank you! I'll make this for my baby boy right now. He is a neighborhood cat (my mom doesnt like cats for some reason so I can't have one :( ) and I help take care of him. His name is MeMeow and he was abandoned. My neighbor feeds him and gives him water while I make sure his health is okay and play with him. So I think I am his owner! I got way off topic! I made this and decorated it with colored cardstock! My cats love it! I didn't have to turn the pizza box inside out. I just cut off the sides, made the one side edge and glued it in to the bottom. Worked like a charm. My cat that hates scratching on the sisal post has taken to this and is finally leaving my coffee table legs alone! Thank you so much! I can't wait to make more! (I wrote my review on the wrong DIY video like a dunce, whoops.)

ok just did this. 50is strips inside the box is a lot. took a lot of glue as well. just had enough. I hope it lasts a while. cat might be joining our family tomorrow. I saw another video where the guy had a table saw. that is the way to get this done. Also when you get boxes to cut up. get boxes that held packaged factory food. not fruits and veggies.
