This video was exceptionally helpful. I had to rebuild a cheap caixixi to make it more suitable for use w/ a berimbau. May I ask what the specs are for the reed you used (i.e., type, diameter)?
@playinginthelight74504 жыл бұрын
Hi. I don't remember the exact diameter of the reed, but it was medium sized. You can use most sizes and shapes of reed to make a caxixi

Where can you find a type of reed like that
@playinginthelight74505 жыл бұрын
In Berkeley CA there is a shop called the Caning Shop, some crafts stores ie Michaels, and probably online somewhere

What size reed did you use?
@playinginthelight74504 жыл бұрын
I don't remember the exact size, but any small to medium size will work. Larger reed can also work if you are using larger filler, like beans or something.

Can kids try this?

They can try, but in our experience it is too difficult
