I got the updated panels and the lining isn't vinyl, just the exterior. Would you interface it the same way or do you think just a woven interfacing for the lining and decovil light for the exterior will be good enough?

I'd use decovil light for the outside and a stiffer interfacing for the lining like Pellon 950F, I hope you post it when your done!

Such a great video, by far the best I’ve seen, thank you. Please can I ask what sewing machine do you have and do you love it? Want to take the leap to an industrial as my bags are not quite getting there because of my otherwise fab domestic, so looking at options and kinda overwhelmed!

There are a lot out there but my husband actually did the research for me lol and got a Sailrite Fabricator. I have a video on my channel about it if you want to check it out. I LOVE her to this day and I think it's been 2 years since I got her. The customer service from Sailrite is what sold me and there's also a FB group if you ever have any question and it's not business hours. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂

I’m making the interfacing using the pattern as a guide. I noticed that you’re interfacing is smaller than your pattern. Since your seam allowance is 1/4 inch is your interfacing more than that?

No, I'm using deovil light and I always cut it shorter than my seam allowance so that there's not so much bulk in the seams.

I have cut out all of my pieces. However, my back panel is MUCH smaller than my front panel. Also, one lining panel is the same size as the front. I’m not sure what to do. I also have canvas, and not sure what to interface with. I put sf101 on the back. Should I use decovil heavy or foam?

So the inside panels were changed and it's tripping up a lot of people lol You need to pleat the gold with chocolate frog panel and the front panel, once they're pleated, they measure the same size as the back panel. As far as interfacing you can do that with whatever you've got on hand and see if you get the stability you want. I prefer decovil light for my vinyl, but I don't use canvas very much. I hope that helps.

I used a waterproof canvas I got from Fabric wholesale distributors, the royal blue and it matches really well.

What seam allowance did you use for the bag? Also how long did you make your binding pieces?

So I thought I said that, it's a 1/4 inch seam allowance and I did a long piece of fabric, normally I use waterproof canvas the length of it.

@@sandiharrah6086 yes, the panels come all in one panel so everything was vinyl. It's not as thick as you'd think but it helped give it body.

Hi, can I ask why there are no printable instructions? It would make things much easier for us who prefer them over taking notes from the video. Don't get me wrong, the video is very good, but I prefer printed instructions.
