Oh, Julie! Yes, the craft room disaster and finding things you'd forgotten you bought or had. I have the same wonderful problem of losing and finding things I forgot I had already purchased. My craft room is always in need of organizing, and I think I need to move into our garage now. I've taken over our son's room and a very small craft room. I've only been making wreaths a little over a year now, and I sometimes get inundated with it all, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Love making wreaths and crafting! Thanks for your wonderful tutorials! You're awesome and so talented and helpful.

I have been using old wooden picture frames to make beautiful holiday wreathes for ages! I don't understand why KZbinrs don't do the same. They are all stuck on using the deco mesh and not being creative. I just love using frames and it makes you be more creative and make one of a kind wreathes. Now, vamp them up!

Gorgeous, i was working on a christmas bird Cage project and watching listening crafting. I like the fact that i don't have to be focused through the whole project and getting inspired while the creative juices flowing through my mind. Love it, it almost feels like we are crafting together. Your concept is learning, getting inspired and craft along while watching and listening. Keep up the good work. Love from the Netherlands

Being an artist, I prefer using frames to the wire or garland type wreathes. But, when you paint them, don't forget to seal them with a good varnish of your choice. Don't use Modge Podge, as it is just a glue and glues tend to run, get soft, get sticky and attract dirt and dust bunnies and the varnish brings out the colors you use and protects them for years.

Hey Julie!! I live in Sanford NC and I am a wreath maker . I shop at Carolina Pottery so much that the Manager asked me if I might want to help them out thru the Christmas season. Of course I said yes......anything for a discount, huh? LOL!! Anyway.......I love your style and all of your creations. I have a goal to get my ID # and start selling perhaps on Etsy soon......probably after the end of the year and after I get thru these Holidays. I would love any tips or suggestions you may have and I hope to maybe get the chance to meet you someday. Have a nice Christmas season and a very Happy Year!! Take care :)

Instead of drilling through the frame, would a couple of eye screws have been workable? It could be reinforced with the hot glue for stabilization.

For the bottom, one sprig of the greenery going across the bottom and one pine cone (with the ends tipped w/white would be cute. Unfortunately the poor little sign is lost. Maybe if it can be moved over away from the bow just a little bit (maybe 1 1/2 would work.

When making the bow, is there any reason why you wouldn't want to use a zip tie [instead of the wire]?
@themermaidstale50084 жыл бұрын
You just have to make sure you slide in a piece of wire or chenille stem so you can attach the bow to your wreath or frame.

The host appears to be a sweet lady - (if I may, I am offering a critique with hopes it will be taken, without offending- ) I encourage the host to make a bit of pre-tape prep for the greater final production outcome (since this is being streamed) you may consider preparing tech equipment prior to filming - and - if this is for an informal tutorial of clients - consider prior preparation. Your supply lists, also adding to the description of video, prior to the upload, in order to effectively communicate: by mentioning the supplies/provide list, quick overview of the subject, demo - the construction of the piece , review your "business - products or services" and have a fun visit with guests at the end - so you can allow for viewers, new viewers, and any clients that may be on a limited schedule to enjoy the video and depart. I felt like I had inadvertently crashed a type of "home demo party" uninvited - This would just present so much more professionally, effectively - and offer greater potential for new interest and potential new clients. Best wishes with your videos and creative business - I sincerely hope you don't think I'm being rude - rather consider this just advice from a Sales, Marketing, and Production Professional, in the areas of Producer/Owner - TV Entertainment Magazine and live stage vocal artist shows.

I made notes on your comment, as when I make you tubes, your suggestions will suit me and my personal style well. Julie has a very down-home and folksy quality about her that I adore, I wouldn't want her to change a thing. I was a marketing pro as well (for many years) and this industry is fast changing to one of, embracing our personal styles, because that is where we flourish. I do think you made good points, but in my opinion, you should make them as a message on her facebook page, rather than in a public arena. Just my thoughts.

Love your creative ideas and beautiful creations, I think you are very talented but sometimes the videos are very slow progressing in getting to the finished products. There are a lot of pauses in the instructional process that I lose the concept and interest that is trying to be presented. Maybe you could separate the two, instructional video or Q & A video. Just my opinion but thanks for sharing your talents.
