How to Make a Christmas Tree Topper Bow Using the Deluxe EZ Bow Maker

Ever wonder how to make one of those Huge Tree Topper bows you see in the stores and magazines. Well this video will show you juSt that. In this video I am making a 36 loop Christmas Tree Topper Bow using the Deluxe EZ Bow Maker. I am using white and silver ribbon to match my Christmas tree decor but you can use any color ribbon you would like in addition to using only one color or multiple colors in one bow.
🙈 Edit: I should have mentioned this in the video but did not. I originally intended to make 4- 4ft long tails but decided l, for now to make 8- 2ft length tails because I saw my cats eyeing the ribbon as I was making them and did not want them to rip down my tree when the bow is on. For you to keep the tails 4ft you would just not bend them as I did and then attach using the wire just like I did! (Hope I didn’t confuse you guys)
What I used:
1-10yd wired ribbon snowflake
1- 10yd wires ribbon silver glitter
Floral wire silver
Wire cutter
Scissors
EZ Bow Maker
36- 6” loops (you can create the loops as big as you would like)
4- 4 foot tails (you can create the tails as long as you would like)
Make sure you figure out the size prior to purchasing the ribbon so you get enough. For mine, I had ribbon left over from the second rolls.

Love your bow...if you had a 10 ft tree what size loops would you do and how many? The tree I'm decorating is in the middle of a room should I make more than one bow for the top? Any advice would be appreciated..thank you Jen

Hi Jenn. Thank you so much. So you could absolutely do this sized bow if you chose but with longer tails. I would do 4 tails 8-10 feet long (mine are shorter because my animals will take the whole tree down lol). But if you wanted to go bigger on the bow I would say up to 7”. I personally like the loops more compact because the larger you go, the floppier the loops can become. What I would suggest you trying is making let’s say a ten loop bow that’s 7” and see how it holds up and hold it against the tree to judge. Then if you like it go ahead and make all the loops. If not take it apart and do 6” loops. Just make sure the ribbon you use holds when you bend it. Some ribbon I have is more of a cloth so it is not as stiff and doesn’t hold as well if that makes sense. Hope this helped. Any other questions just ask!

@@jennbentz4026 one roll or one bow? For the bow I typically do one and have it facing the main area of the room. For the rolls, for one bow you would need about 2-3 ten yard rolls depending on how big you make the loops and tails. I try to calculate the measurements prior to making it so I know how much to get.
