I picked up a 2x3x8 and made a crate to hold my dog’s toys. Like we’re talking under $3 to build this. My wife gave me a list of what we need and agreed on a 10x12 outdoor workshop. Your technics on the DIY’er are great. Thanks ❤

You need a license for them, as they are semi-automatic. You can also get a class 3 license and be able to get a fully automatic assault hammer.

But Nordbo, the auto hammers are illegal in California where Steve lives... he has to use a single tap version...much safer, lol.

Very nice project, the basic / advanced split is a great idea. I've been woodworking for a few years now, I really enjoy this kind of short projects that you will finish in a day or two - and if you end up with something useful at the end it's even better.

Just a quick point of the obvious but it needs to be said - A HUGE major thanks for all your hard work. It's so easy to not know/forget that it takes a lot of time to set up the camera, edit and all that extra stuff (in my case - not being uber diligent with the safety stuff off camera) so I'll say it again.... Thanks for all your hard work in making great content. All the best.

Wow, Steve, this was an awesome video! I liked the red subtitles that explained things like resawing. You explained your techniques clearly. You added humor where necessary. You even used a Grr-Ripper! This reminded me of how your earlier videos inspired me to try this woodworking thing. In fact, I'm so inspired that I now want to make a crate (or two, or several). BTW, I did build a BMW and use it every time I do anything in my garage/shop. Thanks for being so cool!

Just finished mine this weekend, was the perfect first project! First time doing a panel glue-up and I made a homemade jig to accurately crosscut everything to size with the circular saw. I sized the crate to fit an existing bookcase so it only took 3 1x3 using the easy version but did the handles like on the advanced version (gotta use that router). So much fun!
