I’m so confused how the numbering works. If it displays 12:59 then how does it go to 1:00 instead on 13:00 if it’s a 12 hour clock? P.ease explain the numbering.

This is ingenious! Can you explain how the 2nd gear from the right works? (For example, if the time is "11:43," I am referring to the "4".") Since you're only going from 0 to 5, it seems like you doubled up on these numbers and make the first gear turn the second gear at 0 and 5. But if I understand correctly, the second gear has 12 numbers and the first gear has ten. Does that mean the second gear's facings are a little bit smaller?

According to the spacing of the white squares, only the first piece on the right has 10 blocks, and the other three pieces all have 12 blocks.
