Jason D'Costa if you look it up on KZbin you don't really need any files you just need 3D printing software and it could work from that with the right settings, you can draw with a normal 3D printer too just look it up

it's just a basic idea. using the parts of optical drives grants us a veeery small drawing/carving area, so you need to buy motors and other mechanical parts. then you need to get a motor powerful enought to carve at least wood. you may need cooling as well. also, you need a bigger servo/stepper to lift that heavy motor up and down. I think this project is good for start, but it's so small that you can't do big things with it. so, to get a real carving machine, google for it, then buy/build one.

!!!!! Attention !!!! (if your servo is not working) Your pcb circuit drawing is wrong the servo needs to be connected directly to 5v usb power and the servo pins connections are wrong the 2 (middle one) is the power and the 1 (first) is the pulse.
