How To Make A DASH OffRoad Front Bar - START to FINISH for GMW TANK 300

Have you ever wondered what was involved in designing and bringing a front bar to market in Australia. This week we are fitting up a prototype bar to our TANK 300 promotional vehicle. Whilst doing so I get the camera out and describe the steps

Thanks, that is a sweet look, plus you have or appear to have increased approach angle. I believe the GWM product is going to sell really well, especially the Tank series, so you can expect to be swamped with orders, well that's just my humble opinion but you're actually banking on them selling well, good on yah. Get ahead of the play further, develop a GVM upgrade and you'll be totally swamped with business. Regards

Have you tried an inch or two longer rear shock and sway bar extensions? And also that the shock doesn’t bottom out on full compression. Prados did this fine with the 90 series using a 100 series Toyota rear shock. Regards.

When I get my Tank I'll be bringing it to you 😊 so many things I would like modified ie The dash Bull Bar, steel centre bash plate, Dash designed recovery points,lift kit, exhaust change, better rims and tires, roof rack, shock mounting protection cups. Power steering motor protective steel housing. Rear tow bar with recovery points. Stainless snorkel..... Dash Off road can do it😊

Looking forward to when you strap a bigger Turbo on and do some performance mods. Front bar looking pretty good! That TopFire style bar is also tasty if you're making an urban cruiser. Can you change the colour of the insert, from Red to Grey or colour to match the paint work?

i reckon if made a bar only as wide as the headlights and trimmed the plastic and metal hanging below the front mudguard it would look pretty mean sorta like the stumpy bars that go on jeeps

This one was made in China as they have had the car for some time already. We started work on this project about 5 months ago but I can see how it looks like we came up with it really quickly 😅

How similar do you think the chasis plates on the tank are to the hilux/prado fj cruiser?. The H9 had no bull bar options but seen a prado arb bar one.

Probably, but 3D printing is nowhere near as good as injection moulding

You say you make bars for less common vehicles. Would you consider doing a light weight (aluminium) front bar for the FJ Cruiser, like Demello off-road do in the USA. FJ’s have low GVM so big heavy steel bars are not desirable.

Whilst I know it would be more work. PLEASE make different colour coded plates to replace the red in the fog light area. Looks sick red on red but its not gonna suite the other colours of cars as much. Same issue with the Hammer bars when I used to fit them to Rangers.

Hallo Dave, G’day Tunk 300.. Video I made it…. To 1:45 min.. Sorry mate have stop watching… All the „Fung Wong“ parts for that „Can“ you can find here cheap cheap from „Topfire“ and so on. I overtook one Tunk 300 on the Ring road today, packed with „Fung Wong“ items front to rear… shockis with external canister, adjustable panhandle road, tow hitch sky high, big wheels…and surprise I could see all for wheels from behind…😅 yep, a wheel alignment guess was a miss 😂. But had some big new plastic fender over the wheels. Looks very similar to the BJ40…😮 Dave, whatever you build will be copied here in Notime…😂 Greetings from the Motherland of the „Copy artists“ Cheers
