Great vedio, I used for my brother baby shower for his daughter about 10 years ago and about to another one from this instructions for my sister babyshower in November 2022, just forgot what size daipers I used, I'm go with a size 1, if not mistaken I I don't think vedio mentioned it, I absolutley, love this video instructions

@BzzFest The rubber bands are only used to keep the diapers rolled as you assemble. We remove the rubber bands as each tier is tied off. This helps to create a tight cake that won’t fall apart when you move it. None of the diaper are damaged in the making and are all usable for the parents to be!

@terryyouth We just use standard size rubber bands for anything up to a 3 tier. It does get significantly tighter on the last round of the bottom but it actually helps make it easier to create a sturdy solid form.

You didn't mentioned size of diaper in it, I used y'all tutorial about 8 or 10 years ago and forgot what size diaper I use, I'm go with a size 1, I love this tutorial, If I didn't over missed I don't think the size was mentioned in vedio, I repeated to look incase I missws

Good catch! After the ribbon is cut down to size, we fold one of the cut ends over and glue it to itself for a nice folded edge. It gives the cake a much more finished look! Steven barely mentions folding the edge in the decorating section but we forgot to show him gluing it in the video. Sorry the confusion. Good luck with your diaper cake! Have a Big Dot day!

@BigDotOfHappiness and just to add to that if you use pins to hold anything in place it can cause the diapers to be not very useful.... pins = holes = leaks ... eek!

Great question! We don't fasten it at all because we don't want to damage the diapers. It really just helps to add stability if you need to move it. Some people add ribbon or lace around the base to add a decorative touch. I hope that answers your question! Have a Big Dot day!

@nomesy81 We only use the pins just to secure the ribbon so the pins never go into the diapers. That is a good thing to watch out for when you make your own diaper cakes at home. Leaking Diapers do not make a good Baby Shower Gift! Thanks for the comment!
