For what it is, you've constructed the perfect home handyman's (back saving) tool. For me: I can actually envisage a slightly more complicated set-up using your apparatus on a sliding gantry. Life just gets easier, my friend... good build! And I do enjoy the occasional giggle at some of these comments regarding... but I'm sure you know which ones are what.

Great job brother!!! My only suggestion is to add like a ratcheting fail safe, in case the power fails or something.

Thank you. In case of power failure the weight won't go down because I used worm wheel and worm shaft.

Its the intrinsic safety mechanism of a worm gear :) however i was a little bit worried about the axial load on the worm drive. Are the bearings used for axial load?
