What a great idea! And you did such s great job explaining and demonstrating! One question? Did you use a LOW MELT glue gun and sticks or a HIGH/HOT melt one please??? 🙏💕🥰👍😊
@thediymommy3 жыл бұрын
That's hot glue, but I also had great success with this method using a spray adhesive: thediymommy.com/make-a-no-sew-fabric-covered-roller-shade/#mv-creation-21-jtr

I was wondering how you do this if you have a very wide blind and need multiple strips of fabric to cover the length of the blind? I wondered about spraying an adhesive on either the fabric or the blind and laying it on that way?
@joannecarroll55046 жыл бұрын
Such a pretty room, you did a great job making it look welcoming. Have you found this gluing method durable? Is the glue still holding now? I've always sewn my blinds in the past as where I live gets extremely hot for v long periods & our UV levels are high all year round, I'd love a shortcut, but I'm concerned that the glue would just re-melt in the sunlight. Regards.

Great Video... turned out so Beautiful... This video came to me at the right time, I'm getting ready to "FLIP" another RV, and replacing the curtains is going to cost me from $160. to $200. (and that is cheap cafe curtains!!!)... This is such a great idea... LOVE IT... Question: How are the blinds holding up now, since it's been a few years since this video? Thank you for sharing this (beautiful) video... Happy Happy Happy

What about using spray adhesive to attach the fabric? It would stay smooth. I'm going to try it. Also I wonder how contact paper would work? Maybe even just stencil a design. Possibilities!

I just did this with quilting fabric, and the shades curl up at the bottom a little when they are in the up position. I can deal with it because they are behind sheer curtains, but this is why you need to use heavy decorator fabric.

What an ADORABLE guesthouse!!! I love this idea!!! Just wondering if the glue has ever become "re-heated" with the heat from the sun? I live in California and I have a sunroom which faces west and I'm not sure this would hold up... maybe I could modify it using fabric glue??? Thanks for sharing!!! ❤

I imagine I can use some type of plastic paper or something else then cloth? I’m extremely allergic n don’t want anything that will trap dust… Any ideas. I’m moving in to my moms 1 bdrm apt to help her she’s elderly n she has a blackout roller shade n a curtain ontop. I’m removing the curtain n would like to somehow change the shade (off white) look to something pretty without having the cost of replacing them. Extreme budget here…
