When I taught refrigeration, I placed a small compressor (salvaged from a window AC unit) on my desk. I took a roll of 3/8" copper tubing and brazed one end in the compressor discharge port. I unrolled the copper and made a big circle around all the student's work tables and brought the other end back to the compressor suction inlet. I evacuated the air and put several ounces of R22 in the loop. Just a compressor and a big circle of copper. I started the compressor and had all my students feel the copper tubing as the compressor ran. They all agreed, nothing was happening. The refrigerant may have been circulating, but there was no change in temperature any where. Then I had a volunteer student take a hammer, and standing on the other side of the copper circle, begin slowly, gently, hammering the copper tubing closed. As he tapped the copper closed, I had all the students feel the copper on both sides of the copper being hammered. Nothing happened at first. Then, suddenly, the restriction was just right and ice began to form on one side of the crushed copper, while the other side got warmer. We had built a very basic refrigeration circuit. I explained to them that we can add lots of bells and whistles to improve effectiveness and efficiency, but this is the basic circuit. They watched in awe, then I told the hammer volunteer to smash the copper closed. As he did, the refrigeration stopped. I told my students, you've now just witnessed a blocked restrictor, so you'll know it when you see it again. Simple but effective lesson.

What matters: the pressure difference. 1- Use a single engine. 2- Make the connection pipe thinner. Ex: use the needle. This will cause the pressure difference to increase. The second thing that will cause this is: The pressure that the engine can apply. You can achieve this by purchasing a higher power engine. Result: Gas is trapped on one side. It gives out energy. On the other side, the gas expands. It receives energy from outside. In your example: With 2 engines, you almost equalized the gas pressure on both sides. Order: 1- Engine Output. 2- wide pipe. (part that will release heat - Heated part - High pressure area) 3- thin pipe. (transition that will create a pressure difference) 4- wide pipe. (Part that receives heat from outside - Cooling part - Low pressure area) 5 - Engine inlet.

Butane, as a hydrocarbon it works as the base like in most refrigerants, the issue is flammability. Think HCFC's Hydrochlorofluorocarbons, they are hydro carbons modified with chlorine and florine, or CFC's chlorofluorocarbons where they modify and remove hydrogen. As a refrigerant hydrocarbons are great but flammable, like butane and propane, though they are now widely used in Europe, Asia and commercial units in the US

Before filling butane gas into the system, try vacuuming the system with the air compressor you use and removing all the oxygen from it and filling it with butane. Make sure you install the air compressor in the right direction. The air outlet should go to the capillary tube.

Проходя узкое место с давлением потом расширяясь-бутан начинает морозить и всего лишь))) Это тебе так-если слабоумный, разбей зажигалку и к пальцу поднеси откуда сифонит-наморозит палец сразу. Смотрю бутан намного эффективнее сриона и дешевле))) В кратце можно на твой перевести его надпись-кондиционер не на том чем принято заправлять кондиционеры, то есть не на фрионе. Цена бутана-25рублей 1литр, я заправлял вольво с80-1.9 литра фриона-2000рублей в 2018году)

@@АзатЗарипов-ь7х заменить-не заменить, литр бутана-25рублей, говорю-заправить автоведро к примеру р134 или р122-1литр-1000руб не меньше, зачем бутан называть фреоном?-фреон насколько понимаю не может охладиться ниже 5-8градусов, по ощущениям по бутану могу сказать-минус 20-30спокойно может морозить, вообщем и дешевле и куда эффективнее))) Знаешь, чтоб не покупать кондиционер-есть те кто меняет холодильник и всю бодягу от холодильника вешает в квартиру как холодильник или кондиционер и да-оно работает в разы эффективнее чем ссаный кондиционер с ссаным фрионом и это все дорогое. Так же давно я видел и такие вещи, сначала смешно стало т.у был дурак слабоумный в студенчестве как ты-ну как понял, что штука холодит и еще как-кондиционер допотопный к примеру для меня перестал существовать, у чела в тачке видел -радиатор с медной трубы, вентилятор на стекле автомобильный и так же стоит на подобие иголки а после узкого места иней и потом наледь появляется и это в автоведре где больше чем 50градусов и да под ним кайфово-моментом охлаждает. В данном случае он написал, что нет фриона-это забугор и можно так перевести-фрион больше не нужен, в этом гнилом миру где фрион втюхан в роли бога охладителя-90-95%рабов не знают, что и бутан так же работает как и фрион-только походу эффективнее в разы и электричества мало потребляет. Шлак на подобие дексп-18000руб или электролюкс на фрионе за 50000руб не нужны потребляющие киловатты и ломающиеся. Для чего видео-он создает его в своих целях, ну так же чтоб рабы хоть чуть поумнели и поняли, что кондиционер как есть-это овно на палке можно дешевку холодильник сделать-за дешево а то и практически бесплатно если есть трубки, помпа и прочее и которое электричество не жрет киловаттами, а бутан-ну 25рублей за литр-хоть с радости баллон открой и все 50литров выпусти в атмосферу, думаю фреон и 1литр зажопишь))) Или ты до сих пор не понял посыл видео?-а тебе все интересно почему же написал нет фреона ну льет туда бутан?-да вот потому, чтоб ты подумал, он написал только про фреон-а не про весь газ глобально, мол типа воздух сжимаю и он охлаждается-то так бы и было написано-работает вообще без газа, хладогента и прочее))) Видно каков ты умник)))

I think you have overlooked the real genius of this invention? You’re almost there, Tweak the design a little bit to capture the condensation/water into a container for drinking water & you’ve just solved the drought problem, power it with solar panels & you’ve just got a portable device for free water for drinking??? The principal is correct although a second pump between the expansion valve and the evaporator is abnormal, a pump there would be still pumping liquid coming out of the condenser. The faults are the pump not being able to generate enough pressure, the hoses not being able to take the pressure and not evacuating the air/moisture out first along with proper sealing ports for evacuation and charging refrigerant. Then there is the proper capillary expansion valve sizing and getting the quantity of refrigerant right. ~40L/175H PSI ??? [Obviously the pump would have to be able to pump up to 300PSI with sufficient volume.] Yes condensable flammable gas can be used as a refrigerant and propane has been used as a substitute for R-12. [Mexico that I know of]

I mean, you could make a decent cooling system for cheap ... but using pumps never made sense. The compressor is the only part you cant really avoid on closed loop phase change system. Home made radiators and evaporators, work. Heat transfer to the bottle can be improved a lot by using a thin plastic bag, in a bucket full of alcohol. With the evaporator coil dipped in the alcohol. As for refrigerant, if you filter it correctly lighter fluid (butane) will work fine for close to 0C temperatures.

i like the way that water droplets form on the copper pipes and then turn to frost. And also how the frost is only forming on the pipes at the front of the bottle, but not all the way around. Its like a regular can of compressed gasses was sprayed only on the front part to form frost and then thawed, and then the video was played in reverse

I do hvac. Frost is normal, but usually starts at one end of the evaporator and gradually works tward the other end. That's why they have defrost cycles. This basic circuit is possible, but I disagree with a few items.

ничего сложного, если есть, чем обеспечить перекачку паров и хоть немного поднять давление, то все так и работает. изобутан тот же хладагент(легко меняет свои агрегатные состояния) и с понижением давления после капилярки охлаждается. тут все о чем умолчали это крона... ее хватит на 20 сек. работы сборки))) а так вполне рабочая схема.

At room temperature buthane pressure is 2.5 bar. The small pump will not be able to turn against such pressure. Also the plastic tubes vonnections leak. Situation changes if you are outside on a cold day. If temperature is 0 degrees centigrade then buthane pressure is 1 bar. So it is at atmospheric pressure. May be it will work then. Or it will whork while there is a cold spot in the system below 0C.

History....Ammonia and Butane are some of the earliest refrigerants. Ammonia back to the late 1800's. Linde and Rudolf Diesel were some of the early pioneers.

Still in use in Servel/Dometic refrigerators. To use the gas ones at the farm, you have to light a fire in them. The fire heats the solution and the ammonia turns to a gas which then is cooled in the freezer section that also cools the rest of the refrigerator. There liquid ammonia then goes back into the solution so that it can repeat the cycle. There is no electricity used and it all is done by convection.

as long as the needle is still inserted its sealed... only need to seal if you remove needle... but really leaving the needle in would be a nice way to provide a service port to add "freon" as needed.... this type system would be leaky I think and require freon every so often. InventPeaceNotWar * Look you can take a bicycle pump and get cooler air out the output hose when the more dense pressurized air expands back to normal ambient psi, notice the end /bottom off pump gets warm/hot....---> so a person could" conceivably make a light low capability ac that would at least cool the air using your lil lbrother (3cent / hour) outside to do the sweaty pumping, LOL.. just kidding... Hey its cheap, only 2 parts, bike pump and lil brother, LOL

No it will work its oriented wrong in other Vidos , somewhat. There is science involved to make this work, in other words it doesn't get cold till it goes into the evaporator leaving the expansion valve. How does it get cold?? you might ask? when the air blows a crossed the evap coils then the heat attaches itself to the pipes and follows freon to the condenser to be cooled off then repeat. The only reason I said oriented wrong was the freon isn't leaving the expansion valve and going to evap and fan blowing on evap from what I seen, It looked like it was going to condenser, but all the different angels of camera may have messed me up. I could be dead wrong and didn't see it correctly myself, I have been doing a/c work for many many years. I love stuff like this it's awesome. I think he did a great job; you can see the butane getting cold from transfer in the end. Awsom video bro. Hes got me wanting to make a homemade rig, wonder if I can get it to work.

Its not an expansion valve unless it uses feedback to regulate the flow of refrigerent. He is using a static metering method, aka capillary tube. You can use a pump instead of the compressor, but you would need a way to cool the condensor. The airlines use dry ice or just ice or cold water. Of course the pump has to be leak proof.

Butane only needs a 2;1 compression ratio to be effective as a refrigerant. This ratio is easy to achieve even with this pump.

The problem is your PUMP this pumps has diaphragm system it’s just can be used for liquids,if a gas or air bubble stuck in diaphragm the pump no more push’s the liquid ,you hear the sound of pump working but it’s not working actually ,the best pump can be works in this system is piston vacuum pumps

Тут заложены известный школьникам принципах: При расширении газа происходит его охлаждение. Сначала газ сжимают за счет подачи его под давлением из толстой трубки в тонкую трубку. Затем газ расширяется когда выходит из тонкой трубки в толстую. Так как при сжатии газа он нагревается, то вентилятором необходимо охлаждать ту часть трубки, в которой сжимают газ.

IT IS NOT A FAKE ... you are put in the wrong order.. you should put the tiny diameter pipe(expansion valve) to evaporator coil (coil for your bottle) inlet , in order are condensator coil > pump(motor) > with/without extension pipe (if you will) > expansion valve > evaporator coil back to condensator coil ... the point is this motor you are using is transfering and expansion valve is for spraying, thats why your simple system is not efficient. prove if i am wrong for this simple basic system

но это не обман, просто он сделал не правильно, я бы использовал капиллярную трубку тоньше и она должна немного заходить в большую, а насос можно попробовать перистальтический и еще не ясно как он загерметизировал дыру от шприца...

Короче, пока он все это делал и охлаждал, я в пятницу закинул вискарь в морозилку на 20 минут пока душ принимал, потом встретился с подругой, бы выпили и поехали в клуб плясать, потом домой, секс, днем в 11:00 проснулся, сделал домашние дела, поехал на озеро с друзьями на шашлыки, в воскресенье проснулся сгонял на пробежку, поиграл в игры, поводился в диване, прогулялся и в пн поехал на работу.

That's NOT an expansion valve. That MIGHT be considered a "metering device". There is a HUGE difference

@@ares1497-y3l фреон это самая текучая смесь найдет любую щель чтоб вытечь поэтому систему спаивают, а у него трубки резиновые на хомутах это первое, а второе моторчик должен быть гермитичен. Плюс только в том что это обычный газ пропан а не фреон, короче игрушка на пару дней и еще надо расчитать капилярку чтобы вся эта хрень заработала. Не грамотный человек изучается и плюнет
